Xbox Specific Request

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 10:37 pm

Hello All,

I am new to the Elder Scrolls series but this game has made me a fan. I like all the mods I see that you can do with PC but I got it for my Xbox. I know, shame on me. After breaking away from "the-game-that-shall-not-be-named" who's recent expansion included talking panda bears, I decided to stick with the good old Xbox. I know there are tons of posts talking back and forth about the armor sets and I do not wish to regurgitate what has already been said but I for one would look into getting a DLC that included new crafted armor and quests to get even better armor. Particularly for the magic classes. The robes seem a bit weak visually speaking compared to their light and heavy armor counterparts. Not suggesting that anyone should copy anyone but I think the creators of "the-game-that-shall-not-be-named" did a good job with the early to mid tier sets. Some were flashy, some were themed, some were wicked looking, and some were sixy. Either way I hope that this game continues and is successful in the DLC area unlike some earlier games such as Fable which really had no draw to the DLC unless you where a true die-hard for the game...

I hope someone from Bethesda sees this and take this game up another notch.

I might as well say it before I go, I wish the Nocturnal's robe was available on the Xbox. =P

Take Care.

Why Xbox specific? Shouldn't PS3 get it too?

/sigh...fine...all consoles should have the same DLC. lol

I actually meant all consoles but wasn't thinking about the PS3. I was just thinking how I kind of feel left out seeing all the cool stuff the mods can do and got to thinking "Why not an Xbox DLC" and wrote the post.

and Eloheem202, you can take care now or later, doesn't matter to me.

Thx

Eh, we have mods, the limitless source of awesome that made the OP write this in the first place.

to the OP: You aren't the first to say this and you won't be the last.

So...you're a WoW player who wants armor to look like WoW armor?

Take care now, bye-bye then.

Dlc for armour? A thousand times no!

A large expansion with a new area, that just happens as a matter of course to have new armour, clothes, spell tomes, perks as quest rewards Temple of Dibella style, saddlebags, staves, hats and shoes and a bunch of new enemies anyway, that sounds more like it.

Don't forget the shoes.

Yes, God forbid we have more unique looking armor and clothing sets because World of Warcraft has them

WoW is WoW, TES is TES.

Let's leave it that way shall we?

Or we could accept that different games have some features that are different and some that are similar and that ideas aren't good or bad based on what other games have used them.

I want an expansion pack a large New land to explore packed with new creatures, quests, and ne NPCs maybe one or two big cities. Definitely new spells bring back the old spell types and spell creation. I hope they add something in to change your hair, beard, dirt levels, and face paint. It will also hopefully add more weapons, armor, and clothing items.

I want a proper expansion pack not some pint sized DLC.

If you want WoW inspired armor you are playing on the wrong console. I already have frostmourne in my game (The ONLY piece of WoW I don't absolutely abhor) and several armor sets from the Witcher (Which're far prettier than anything beth has ever done [cwutididthar]) as well as sheathes for all vanilla 2h weapons, a must have imo, and about 50 other mods all about adding new content. and this is all before the construction set has become available.

on topic: if hes asking about new armor DLC he would love horse armor from Oblivion he may just be playing the wrong game

From a newbie's perspective, this game could potentially lead to a successful cross platform MMO. Being a player of "the-game-that-shall-not-be-named" for a long time, this game has a lot of the things that drew me to unsaid game. Customization, leveling, crafting, quests, 3D world to roam, etc. If they could change selecting from your favorites from being a pause in time and have it real time, this could even have PVP potential. It could work as it is, stand alone but with a match making arena system online. Am I the only one wanting to pit my Archer/Assassin hybrid build against a Warrior or Mage? Probably not.

Again, I am a newbie to The Elder Scrolls as a whole. I can only speak from experiences from unsaid PC game and PVP Xbox games. A few tweaks to maintain the real-time combat and this could be bigger than it is.

I hope I am not upsetting any long time Elder Scroll players by suggesting such a change. If so maybe this last sentence will calm the waters a bit.

This game is my new favorite and I hope Othreal's dream for an xpac comes true to the fullest extent and we all feel that it does the game justice.

Thx

Mods are done by the community not Bethesda. DLC's are done by Bethesda for all platforms but they did a dirty deal with Microsoft and screwed the other platforms because of their greed. it's too much to ask big time devs to be fair.

Due to beths less than stellar releases lately (FO3 FONV TESV) The way I see it is x-box gets to pay to beta test our dlc, and we get to pay for the finished version
