I can't for the life of me work out how to put a 'Map Marker' on the local map of a Town or City like in Oblivion, without a map marker the local map is pointless IMO because you can't look at it as you walk etc, there fore if you mark where you wish to go it prevents you from getting frustrated walking around in circles etc ??

You can't put a marker on the local map only on the world map... it bites I will agree. I just put a marker on the city which puts it on the gate so at least their is a reference.

why in oblivion would you need it?

I Like to use markers as a reference point while I am exploreing. I use them mostly for out in the wild, but would like to be able to pinpoint them better. So I tried putting them on a local map. 1ST time in Markarth being able to pinpoint a marker on a local map would have been handy. Blackreach... really handy!!

Because when in a town/city you can put a marker on a shop you wish to visit to aid you to find it?
