Yeah, feel free to just walk right in.

Does it bother anyone else that during the city raids that you can just walk right into the city with no problem? I mean you would figure they would be smart enough to at least bar the front gate. Maybe give you a choice to either go through the side or if that isn't an option make you use a battering ram to smash it open or something.

I'm talking about during the civil war city raids on windhelm/whiterun/solitude

I had a similar experience in my Riften home. Some joker decided that he would stroll through my house as a means of entering the city (he came in through the back porch and walked out the front door). It was all I could do to not cut him into tiny pieces and feed him to Iona...

After the Civil War, there should be no reason to bar the gates, as it were. However, I would not mind a speech challenge or something the first time I walk into a town. At least to welcome me to the place.

Riften had some thing like this the first time I approached that town.

I thought this was a thread about entering your house when close to another NPC; be it a city guard or someone else, only to find that they have followed you into your home to tell you about how long it took to become a successful farmer. I'm looking at you Nazeem!!! :stare:....but Nazeem won't be following me or being smug to me anymore. He found himself stuck to the end of my ebony sword. Now his lifeless corpse is under the bridge near the main gate.

Sorry...I derailed the thread.
