I was walking around the swampy areas near Solitude and spied some Slaughterfish. Well, one walked up on land and bit me. It was just like the Walking Catfish I saw growing up. Killed it with my sword.

That was the first time I had seen these things in the game. So, one pond over I saw some more in the water and noticed they were near the surface. I took out my bow to see if I could hit it, and I could.

So, you can bow fish in this game, at least for Slaughterfish.

Now, I need to see if I can hit the Salmon that are going up the waterfalls. I might have to see if I can do this with the fish near the Riften Docks, they seem to come close to the surface.

Try to punch the salmon out of the water. Bear style^^ Wonder if that would work...

If you do cause damage to a fish, will it die and drop loot like butterflies and torchbugs do?

I fish by diving in to the ocean and catching the fish with my bare hands.
Not easy to do in real life, but in this game it's pretty easy.

The Slaughterfish did. Gave me scales and one of my arrows back. I had to loot the corpse. But, it would be interesting if they other fish do the same thing as they usually disappear when catching them by hand.

I want to walk up to the northern shores of Skyrim and stare out into the ocean, and then like 25 blue skinned guys in glass armor step out and declare war against all land-striders.
