Hi I have added a ship on a coast of skyrim placed some NPC on it but for some reason they always disappear or I can0t find them , I tought this could be to navmesh problems so I started to navmesn the cell but , the CK freezes all the time like if it was too huge calculations involved and I can't realy do anything ... what shoudl I do or how?

It will just be very slow. A fully navmeshed grid of 5x5 exterior cells can get very glitchy. You just may lack the computer power to do it? Does the CK just freeze and go very slow, or actually crash?

Is the camera at an angle in which several cells of navmesh would be shown? It can get very laggy from this. Its best to be looking straight down on the cell.

What kind of processor do you have? You just may lack the heafty requirements for editing?

Though I should say I've never even opened the navmesh window in Tamriel, however I've done several exterior cells in my own worldspace.

Had the CK been open (and, in particular, not is use) for a "long time" before you tried the operation?

Although my sys-specs are OK for CK use, I do find that, when I'm going to do something particularly intensive, shutting and restarting the CK helps (well, other than wasting a couple of minutes of my life, it helps )

Set uGridsToLoad in SkyrimEditor.ini to 3 instead of 5, that could very well help. Possibly even set it to 1, not sure if that will be accepted though.

You can also edit it quickly and easily on the fly in the Misc tab of the Properties window in the CK. Simply type in a different number and hit Apply and it reloads that amount. 1 does not appear to be a valid entry.

Below average.

I kind of agree, if it freezes up from vavmeshing; though it is one of the most demanding things you can do in the Creation Kit; so it doesn't mean much. :P
