If you could live anywhere in Skyrim, where would you live?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 8:37 am

Solitude is the best.

But my first choice would be Riften, I like most everything about it except the people.

Falkreath is pretty nice, it's like an upgraded Riverwood.

The worst place to live would be Markarth.

Way too many horrible things go on in that city.

It's corrupt to the core and twice as bad as Riften.

Really good question actually.

I guess either riverwood or dawnstar. Both have great views and ares around them.

I'm more of a busy city person. I'd go with solitude. A house round the corner from bits and bobs. A nice local with the winking skeever.

Let's see... Anywhere with sanitation fixtures, central heating, gas and electricity.

Would live in: Solitude. Pretty, civilised, lots of good shopping (including a clothes shop...highly important doncha know), a nice 'local' and pleasant neighbours.

Would not live in: Markarth. Bigoted, unpleasant, impossible to find way around. And no clothes shop. Boo.

Markarth's an interesting place to visit, but I wouldn't wanna live there. Wouldn't trust the Silver-Bloods. Too many of the more northern places are just too...northern. I'm a southern boy. Gotta live somewhere with some green. Whiterun's pretty nice, but someplace in the south where it's green would be best. Riften would be okay if it weren't a hive of scum and villainy.

But definitely not Dawnstar or anywhere else that it's snowing half the time. Snow is for the two weeks around Christmas, and that's it.

Riften. The trees in the area remind me of home during Autumn.

Don't forget that the mayor of Markarth allows savages to kill people randomly in his city.

For when I'm younger I would probably want to live somewhere like Solitude for the shops and larger career prospects, however I'd want to live my later years in Whiterun.

Somewhere isolated, with a nice view, far away from civilization where I could spend my days hunting and chopping wood for my fire. Of course I'd have to keep a large dog, or trained wolf to alert me of any approaching danger and set up many traps and early warning systems around my shack, just so I'm not ambushed by any nasties or ne'er do wells during the night. Dagger under the pillow, just in case though...

The Forsworn aren't savages, they are like the Skyrim equivalent of Native Americans. It would have been interesting if they were presented like the Inuits of Canada...

I would live in the Alchemist's Shack in The Rift. The Rift is my favorite spot in the game. I love it's Aspen trees and autumnal colors. I could easily picture myself in that shack, gathering herbs, mixing potions, in real life.

I don't think that the other poster meant they were savages because of their ethnicity, but rather that any of them that are involved in killing random people just to spread terror are savages.

No amount of Best view in the world would want to make me live in that icicle. AND there is a Dragon nearby? hell no rofl.
