Do you find yourself?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 9:50 am

I often think, "I need to remember this so that when a thread on the forums comes up that asks about interesting things in Skyrim, I can tell them about this." But I don't stop the game, and when such a thread comes up, I have usually forgotten it.

Same here. I've had lots of "WTF?" moments playing Skyrim, but they have not been  enough to stop the game for, and not  enough to remember them afterwards

No. I often multitask when I am playing, so I do not need to stop the game(Xbox). I rarely talk about quests or graphics when I am here, I prefer to do that type of pvssyr over Skype or something less "formal" than the forums with friends of mine.

No. I'm usually too busy following up on the 'amazing and amusing event' that might of just happened, instead of posting it on the forums.

That, and I'm just pretty lazy.

Replace chores with try to make my kids do their chores, and its me to a tee.

My kids are teenagers so they've forgotten how to do choirs.

Well, I was out near Arcwind, an area I had not explored in over 300 hours. Well, there was a word wall in that area, and i got the new Shout. But, I was looking around for the dragon as I knew it had to be there, as I had not killed it yet. I was in Sneak Mode and I turned around and there was the dragon on it's Perch about 3 feet away from me, but it's head was under the ground. As soon as I went out of Sneak Mode, it saw me and flew off. It was pesky too as it would not land. I might reload that save and give it a 30x Daedric Dagger poke just because.

Dang I'll have to check that site out.

Do you find yourself on this forum then all of a sudden you stop and think "Hey why aren't I playing Skyrim right now!"

I find myself thinking of things I'm going to do in Skyrim when I'm in school. As well as when I'm in the shower, or watching the TV, or even when I'm sleeping (Skyrim related dreams are not uncommon).

Do you find yourself at the computer about to pay bills then you log in to see what everybody is talking about today on the forums then read some post and think "Hey I feel like playing Skyrim. Then after a while you come back to the computer to post some stuff on the forums. Then you look to the side of your computer to see a stack of bills then think "What the heck. I thought I took care of these hours ago."

Only when I see a dragons head stuck in the ground do I want to tell anyone about it.

Happened this weekend.

Might have to dig up my pic of the invisible dragon with the bloody head.

Heres one, Do you find yourself starting a new playthrough every time you get a new character in mind or new cool mods come out that make you want to roll another character? I did as soon as I found mods like tales of Lycanthropy and better vampires lol.

Do you ever get the living crap scared out of you because the game forgot there was supposed to have been a fox in front of you for the past 10 seconds, so it remedies this by popping it into existence right in front of you, and announces its arrival by playing every sound it should have made up til that point simultaneously, so it's REALLY LOUD?

I had to pause the game for a while after that...

I found myself once and didn't like it, so I just put me back where I found me and then went about my business.

Not really. I usually get those ideas from this forum. I have so little time to play. In fact, if it looks like I'm only going to get in an hour, I won't play at all (like tonight - sniffle sniffle). You can't really do anything in one hour. So, I'll boot up the game then scan my active quests, check the map to see where I'm at and either choose to attack a quest or just explore. But it's usually a gametime decision.

How did you know his head was bloody? And wouldn't a pic of an invisible dragon just be a scenic pic?

Just messin'

I hate it when I find myself on the cold bathroom floor with reeking chunks of dinner on my dress shirt after a long night of heavy drinking.

Do you find yourself stopping skyrim to come back to the forums on to tell people how good a quest or graphics are? I do. But I dont want to stop here I want this thread to be for you guys to start off by saying "do you find yourself" and put something that you do in skyrim thats interesting so we can comment and answer if we do it or not. Lets go!
No, because I don't like other people judging my playthrough because it isn't what they would have done.

I weened myself away from doing things like that as much now. Back in the days of Morrowind and Oblivion and Fallout 3 i used to do it all the time especially in the Mod Forums to show appreciation and give thanks. Now theres just too many old and new Bethesda rpgs to play to hang out in the Forums like i used to do. Besides seeing alot of the old familiar faces disappear etc is a bit numbing even if i do like to be a bit..distant ha ha :obliviongate:

At least Pseron Wyrd is still around from the days of Morrowind and alot of the modding crowd of Oblivion.

Do you find yourself looking at some scenic pictures, and feeling that they came from skyrim?

I did :) instead of feeling skyrim to be like real life, its the other way round.
