That was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=129kuDCQtHs from a video in '84or '85 (around 3:20 for Courtney's appearance). Not one of my favorites, but probably one of his more well-known songs. I just watched the video - holy crap, they both look so young. I just saw Bruce a few weeks ago at an Atlanta show... that was a long time ago, that video. :)

I still find it hard to believe she was born in the sixties.

I feel the same way. Except I'm 21, but still a bit teenagerish. But hey, that's the best part of life, keeping young at heart.

Not really, I was joking about how you see a lot of 16-17 year olds going 'WOW! (30-40 years) WAS A LONG TIME AGO! I CANT IMAGINE THAT MUCH!'

It's not like the 1950s, which really were another era! :hehe:

Should I resume the obligatory "I remember tin baths, black & white TVs, outside toilets and rotary telephones" prattling? (These are all true, for anyone who thinks I'm exaggerating... I even remember the days before domestic internets!)

I'm romanticised with that 1940s-50 Atomic Era, and somewhat with that 60s Googie style decor. I'm partially jealous of your youth, you grew up seeing society advance.....I see.....people who would 'JUST DIE!' without their cellphones. :shakehead:

Prof. Brian Cox, Charles dikeens and PacMan.

Edit: I forgot to include the reasons why. Brian Cox because he taught me about the second law of thermodynamics and the concept of entropy. I had been really struggling with this for a long time and when he explained it it all fell into place.

dikeens because he's my favourite author. His imagination was second-to-none and he could be as funny and whimsical as he was and yet retain a strong sense of reality and social conscience.

And finally PacMan because he was around at the start of gaming and was instrumental in popularising it. Plus he would come in handy for munching-up any food that Brian, Charles and I didn't finish.

I'd probably take http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_D._Carmack, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Ritchie, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Twain, who's actual existence was/is debatable. :-)

Tom Delonge, Randy Rhoads, and Cid Highwind (from FFVII -- he's hosting...)

That should make for some interesting table talk.

Eh the dead one is tough.

Alive, Thom Yorke; Fictional: Gandalf; Dead: either Alexander the Great or George Carlin

EDIT: or Frederick II (of HRE) for the dead one.

Alexander would probably bring a few crashers with him.
