Ok...so I'm supposed to protect President Kimball and saw nothing wrong then he got shot in the head...so I googled it and came across something where someone wrote to go up to a sniper tower and kill the assassin AND to his vertibird to disarm the bomb. What I am asking is, how can I disarm the bomb on the vertibird when I am not allowed anywhere near it?!

Theres a NCR guard just outside the ladder to th e Vertibird, you need to pass his speech check and he lets you up.
Im sure there are other ways up aswell.
