You know who the Ghost People remind me of?

Is anyone else reminded of Scarecrow when they see a ghost person?

Seriously everytime I see one, all I can think of is him riding his horse after Rachael and him lighting Batman on fire.

They remind me of snorks from STALKER, if snorks had spears, gas bombs, and bear trap fists.

They always reminded me of the dudes from the Silent Hill movie who walk around with the caged birds. I think they might've appeared as enemies in Silent Hill: Homecoming, but I never actually got far enough to fight one because that game, unlike most of the previous installments, svcked ASS.

Yeah, they remind me of them too. Never played the game though, but, it looks awesome!
And yeah it IS a shame that we can't wear their gear 'cos it looks really cool!

if i was able to do that i would request that aslong as ur wearing their apparel u have the option to any NPC to say "There is nothing to fear but fear himself" or "Would you like to see my mask?".

That's who they reminded me of. I thought of Oz before batman when I first saw a ghost person, not to mention I wasn't exactly responding to the OPs conclusion.

They remind me of the Combine from Half Life 2. Sierra Madre reminds me a lot of Ravenholm, too.

Can anyone tell me... Do they move like normal NPCs, or do they seem to act as if they're creatures, with wholly distinct animations?

Different than NPCs.

They move around like cavemen or some kind of abomination throwing spears at you.

They switch between a crouch around like frogs sometimes jumping sideways and sometimes running gangly like.
