The other night i had a dream that I was in some oblivion house with crates and barrels. I was talking to some npc who i didn't recognize. That's about all I can remember.

But, I guess, if I am dreaming of oblivion, some might say I'm addicted.

I need more ideas someone >?

Okay, here goes.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when...

You have a number of http://a.imageshack.us/img153/3968/swords3.jpg in case of a Daedric invasion. (note: that pic only shows about 1/3 of mine.)
You are more proficient with medieval weapons than you are with modern ones.
You can identify more plants in Cyrodiil than you can in real life.
You walk outside and think "Whoa! Awesome Graphics!"
You are surprised when you walk through a door and don't see a load screen.
You tap your destination on your GPS and expect to "fast travel" there.
You say "By the Nine" when something goes wrong.
You ask for Mudcrab legs at a seafood restaurant.
You start comparing things IRL to things in Oblivion. "That pug looks a lot like Mazoga." "Bob reminds me of the Adoring fan. I can't stand either of them."
You hear a noise and think "Damn! It's a (insert creature name here) and I don't have the right (weapon/spell/poison) to deal with it."
You hear someone moving around at night and try to cast "Detect Life" to see where they are, or "Nighteye" to see who they are.
You look for a "Charm" scroll before asking your boss for a pay raise.
You refer to your pet cat as an Alfiq Khajiit.
You refer to your pet lizard as an Argonian.
You look for the "local Guild hall" when you go on vacation.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you step out of the house late at night, and your natural reaction is to start casting Night Eye.

True story. XD I left the house, couldn't see, and caught myself as I was about to raise my right arm up. I didn't actually follow through with it, but it was the first thing that came to my mind.

I obviously need to invest more points in my "flashlight" skill.

LOL that happened to me not long ago, i was sitting with my friends in some dark park, and for a moment I wanted to cast light around myself, and almost raised my hand, but immediately realised that I'm fu**in crazy and addicted to oblivion :D

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you try to sneak when you arrive at your home at late night and there is someone sleeping.
You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you think that some skill "has improved".
You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you meet your friends and say "Hail, citizen".

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you routinely try to mash together your salad into a restore fatigue potion to sell.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when:

- You steal something and you're surprised by the fact that you don't hear: "You won't break the law on my watch!"

- When you enter a shop and ask do they have 2 Greater soulgems and a scroll of Detect Life. (:D)

You know when you're addicted to Oblivion -- when you have repeating nightmares about Oblivion gates opening up in the park across the road.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when ... you see the advertisments for Dragon Age: Origins, and get totally excited for it, and when it comes in the mail, you get about halfway through it and think to yourself: "This isn't Oblivion." Then put it up without finishing it and start a new build in TESIV and don't even miss Dragon Age: Origins at all.

I did this... lets just say DA:O isn't as good as they say...

You know when you have played too much Oblivion when...:
-You try making characters from other games in it
-You have 20+ characters, each with only 2-3 hours time played as them
-You stop eating apples because they could be poisoned
-You think you can survive 500 hits with a sword and even more arrows than that

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when...

You almost ask somebody if read a book, then realize it's one from the game.

You wonder if/when a movie version of The Lusty Argonian maid will come out. (a friend of mine asked me this one :shakehead: )

You refer to night vision goggles as nighteye goggles.

You come up with band names that are appropriate for Cyrodiil: Tiber and the $eptims, Sons of Sithis, Mudcrab Method. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1101443-music-bands-of-cyrodiil/page__p__16104866__fromsearch__1&#entry16104866

You come up with sports teams that would be appropriate for Cyrodiil: Chorral Crusaders, Cloud Ruler Templars. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1101919-sports-teams-of-oblivion/page__p__16114840__fromsearch__1&#entry16114840

You see a cave IRL and think "I wonder if it has any good loot?"

Oblivion hasnt even been out for 5 years lmao.

He said "going on 5 years", which means not quite five years yet.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when in your daily life you are constantly reminding yourself to save.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you spend more time than you care to admit decorating your house.

On that note, you know you're addicted to Oblivion when you see things in real life that you think would fit perfectly in your house.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you realize how awesome you are for being so into an awesome fantasy game.

I did this... lets just say DA:O isn't as good as they say...

I remember reading an online review of DA:O and they kept comparing it to Oblivion. I wanted to scream "Blasphemer!" at my monitor, but I was afraid my wife would think me even more of an Elder Scrolls nerd than she already does.

On topic: You know you're an Oblivion addict when you get into an argument with a co-worker over which is a "true" RPG; either Oblivion or WoW. This happened to me today. I think I won :celebration: .

edit - I gave him my old copy of the non GOTY ed. of Oblivion for 360 a couple of weeks ago to show him how great of a game it is. Maybe I can convert him.
