The championus invictus. The man who put the 'erk' in 'overkill' and the 'ough' in 'tough' no matter what his mood. The man eats his meat whole and raw and proceeds to cook it by swallowing live plasma. Much effort was put into his introduction, legend, and build up so that when you see him on that ledge picking his butt there is no question that you are in deep qaqa. And he loves to puff his chest out to intimidate with the whole 'let's exchange words so I can size you up' gig. This serves also to communicate a level of respect for his enemy, to warn them and to allow them a fair chance to back down. His voice and presence are also impressive, though muffled by that idiotic mask which loses him critical points for putting a barrier between his face and your face. Staring down your foe from behind a faceplate? That had better be welded to you because I took off my glasses to look you in the eyes.

Vulpes Inculta:
This guy reeks of 'don't turn your back on me' from the moment you see him ahead of you on equal ground. Characters like Vulpes have been done before but they are not as common as the badass. 'Don't worry' in his wimpy but sinister voice. 'I won't impale you so that you can tell the world of my low key, correctional program.' The cruelty of this man is reflected in the death and agony around you, and soon it rings clear that he drew its length as best he could to savor the procedure. The encounter takes more than a few stages: 1. seeing the fire and smoke from afar 2. meeting the lottery winner and the cripple 3. meeting 'him' 4. exploring the building behind him. The man speaks of disloyalty, makes his call on who is corrupt, justifies his actions with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_disengagement, and as you absorb his rhetoric you can taste the poison as if you licked the belly of a venomous frog that is ill with syphilis. If you have a morsel of good in you then you know that he needs to be stopped. And the presence of his fumentarri shows that he knows it, too. Oh, and he has to wear shades to hide his eyes?
Presence: 6 ( -1 for the sunglasses )

Winner: Vulpes Inculta
I really wish that Vulpes had poised himself to strike at your throat while you are weak after the bit with Lanius. First a salvo of infected arrows, then his speech calling Lanius disappointing or foolish, then the ambush by his fumentarri while he throws knives smeared with period blood. Before he dies he is allowed to spit out his final curse to you, to the west, or whatever. I just don't like rooting for the standard muscle boss, preferring the deviant instead. The both of them represent aspects of the Legion. But personally when I don't see them as a worthy, noble enemy. They are vipers that need to be exterminated.
Conclusion:
Vulpes == Grimma Wormtongue
Lanius == The Hulk
