Do you live somewhere interesting?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 11:17 am

Do you live somewhere that isn't an intended player purchased home?

One of the shacks?
A dungeon or ruin?

Is it your main residence or just a hideout/outpost?

Is it a "safe" location?
How long have you used it and how comfortable/paranoid are you with regards to storage?
Any horror stories about losing items this way?

I was reading a thread by a player looking for a lair for his vampire and I decided this was such an awesome idea I would like to do it right now for my current character.
However I'm really paranoid about storage, even places listed as safe (on the UESP list).

Are those locations 100% safe? As safe as a player home, basically?

I have my eye on Goldenglow estate, do any of you guys live there?

The UESP list is pretty accurate you know. Never had a problem with it, so you can trust it.

Anise's cabin by Riverwood. Not only am I too cheap to buy a house, it's nice for anyone doing alchemy and/or enchanting. The cellar is safe for storage in most of the containers (but not all.) I don't know if it's interesting. Although
Spoiler
I did end up killing a witch for it. Before she killed me of course. Didn't want me to spill her big secret and got all mad that I went snooping.

Same here. First thing I do with every new character is get that cabin. I usually don't ever even buy a house, but I don't really collect stuff. At any rate, the cabin is great for starters and has everything you need. Safe storage and bed, too.

It is rather amazing how my new characters just 'happen' to come across it while chasing deer or butterflies or just bumbling about. So helpful.

This is something that I miss from Fallout 3. All the incidental housing. It's hard to find places that not only look cool, but work in a decent manner. I've just been living in the Thieves Guild. I got the Safe there, and despite what some people say, it's never respawned on me and neither have most of the chests.

Yeah, a little spot in the woods would be nice. Anise's cabin is in a nice place but it's an eyesore. Wished Falkreath had a house for sale somewhere close by. Just outside town.

I would love the option to buy something secluded and out in the woods somewhere away from towns. If I were on PC, I would have made one by now.

There's an alchemists shack on the pathway as you make your way from Windhelm to the little village at the bottom of the throat of the world, it's far east from Helgen, once you exit the mountain area.

Pretty cosy, has a nice little enclosed garden with a variety of herbs/plants.

I usually live in the abandoned house in markarth until I finally decided to start buying houses. I still use it for storage however.

I sleep in a wolf den
Once you become the pack leader everything runs pretty smoothly
Only thing you have to worry about is maintaining your dominance
And eating raw human flesh takes a bit of getting used to

Wish I knew about this. I started a mage character, then joined the Companions just to have a place to sleep for free. :sadvaultboy:
