Do you play at night

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 8:40 pm

Talking about game nighttime, not real life night.

I was the same with Oblivion, and same with Skyrim, but i dont like exploring at night time. Prefer to fast forward time to the day. Partly due to being able to admire the scenary better when its light, but also i get scared exploring at nighttime

Loving the Northern Lights of Skyrim.
I prefer higher, snowy climbs at night and lower, woodland areas in daytime.

Depemds on what you are doing. If I have to invade or get past a position with lots of hostiles I will wait for night to conduct the attach as darkness does effect detection. Nothing like storming a fort in the dark with a hard rain. Defenders tend to be completely confused. (If you are in sneak mode of course.)

I usually play at daytime. I prefer not to get gutted by a sabrecat I didn't see in the dark.

I'd love to, but it's dark enough to the point it gets annoying. Unless there's something really interesting going on, I just wait until daylight.

If I'm in town, I always fast forward to daylight. If I'm out exploring, maybe, maybe not.

I usually don't wait, sleep or anything, but I prefer going to journeys when it's daytime. I can see around better and thus enjoy the scenery and be aware of the enemies more easily. That's all there really is to it. It's the best to spend a night in a dungeon and then crawl back up when it's morning. A whole new day ahead of you to move around.

Even if it happened another way round, day at the dungeon and outdoors exploring at night, I don't wait though. I just like it less. :P

The aura shout (whisper) should keep you from getting jumped. Of course if you charge around in the dark like a lumbering Nord, you desrve to be eaten.

Same here. Plus, visually it's hard to see so I prefer the daylight hours--would make a terrible vampire, I guess.

Also, if you're like one of those Vigilants of Stendorr, you will have to wake up at night and go out because

They only come out at night.

(Hint: try exploring the northern side of the Whiterun as a new character, at night. Or just across the Riverside river, in the direction of that witches house.)

I like exploring the Tundra at nighttime, there's somthing about those northern lights, but when I'm exploring the woodlands then I fast forward to day, but when I'm planning on attacking a camp I fastforward to nighttime for RP purposes, then I strike, they never see it coming.

I love it out on the plains at night, with the aurora behind a web of cloud, and a dragon just circling around endlessly without attacking. I just stand and watch...

Usually no, sort of got used to sleeping at night because of the night ghouls modded into Fallout 3, but my current character is a vampire, so he's almost totally nocturnal (with the exception of daytime shopping). The night sky in this game is great, but there doesn't seem to be much difference in the wildlife at night.

Night is perfect for burglaries and assassinations.
Fireballs look so much better in the dead of night.

Of course I play during nighttime!

SKYRIM has some pretty creepy inhospitable nights with a harsh feeling of survival but they are also surreal in blissful enchanting beauty. Depending on how brave am feeling at the moment i may venture out into the cold night or relax in a sheltering warm tavern with good company and music. I'll also sleep by the exit of a dungeon i just cleared out if its still night outside such is nights presence of forboding dread at times.

Night in this game DOES NOT EXIST! What do you call a night, no sun, stars on the sky? You can see everything everywhere anyway. There is no difference if its "night" or day.

You want see real night? Play for example Stalker - Clear sky. Its so dark there, that you must use flashlight.. You see like couple meters, and thats all. In Skyrim, like I wrote it makes no difference. You can see other end of the map from wherever you stay, thats night? Thats hillarious!

I really don't care, but I'm more likely to use the roads at night and just sneak, then cut cross country during the day.

I get scurrred. Seriously.

My wood elf, who is "one with nature", seems to attract the scent of sabre cats from miles around at night.
