The Weathered 10mm will probably be good for a starting weapon, and maybe even a backup if you don't mind carrying some extra 10mm bullets around.

I think it is called Weathered 10mm Pistol...and I don't think it has too much of a benefit over the standard version of the gun...I guess about 10% max...

I kind of just like the look of 9mm Pistol over the 10mm Pistol to be blunt, I hope they include the M1911 Pistol shooting those lovely .45 ACP but I'll just have to wait until it comes out. :tops:

It will likely do a whopping 10 or 12 damage. Not worth hanging onto if you don't want to mount it on your wall or something.

if damage is measured about the same as it was in fallout 3. then about 22-28 damage.

i imagine it will be sort of like a desert eagle (even though in fallout 3 it was a pea shooter)
i dont like the look of it though. i really like the look of the 9mm better. oh well.

i preordered the classic pack. so i guess i might role play an ancestor of the chosen one eventually

I think it's pretty well similar to regular pistol... and will degrade, but at a slower rate.

Meh. The only reason I would ever use it (I did preorder from Gamestop after all) is for roleplaying purposes. The Lone Wanderer sprouted wings and flew to wreak havoc in Vegas with his trusty 10mm.

Probably going to be good for starting characters. The thing about in-game bonuses is that you don't want to give people something that makes the game way too easy, but still rewards the player. I'm hoping there are still regular 10mm guns out there as well as the Weathered version. It'll probably more powerful than the starting 9mm, but I doubt it will be very useful by the time you get to level 5-8.

It shouldn't be that much more powerful than the 9mm Hi-power.

I have to agree that it probably won't be all that good, after all, isn't it basically a weathered veraion of a 10mm pistol? Now since it's a bonus item, I could see it being made somewhat more powerful than a normal 10mm would be, but I still find it hard to imagine it being anything amazing. Plus, isn't it one of a preorder packs and don't you get those items with your starting equipment? If so, I doubt they'd make it exceptionally powerful, after all, they're not going to give you the best item in the game from the start.

well im getting the preorder from gamestop so ill be using it (as long as i can slap a silencer on it) throughout at least my first playthrough as well as the armored vault suit. it shouldnt be anything too spectacular but it should have a DAM about 15 so it will be good for taking out weaker enemies but not good enough for a primary weapon throughout the game.

i think its great with the vault 13 canteen and the vault suit and how the weathered 10mm pistol, are the only ones in the game, i love the first two fallouts and fallout 3 so i think its great, and the pistol has a back story, it has years of killing rats in the entrance of vault 13,

and who ever said your not getting powerful weapons at the start of the game. sorry your wrong, first the weathered pistol in confirmed to have a bit of much, and another pre order pack you get a grenader launcher, with the mod so its pump action

+1

As a 1st level player, having a cheap pistol is certainly better than having just a baseball bat!

I'll use it. It will be nice and a decent starter weapon. Hope the fire rate is up, and the sights are good.

I think it'll be somewhat powerful for a low level character. It has to, really. I think it'd be stupid if Bethesda/Obsidian released pre-order packs where one is more powerful than the other. It would be stupid for the Caravan Shotgun to do, say, 20 damage and then the 10mm pistol do 8.

Personally, I hope for the 10mm to be useful, as I don't really have much choice but to order the Classic pack if I want the CE.

the only powerful one should be the grenade launcher, which we probably will find very little ammo for at the start.

I think its a unique variant man so you won't be able to slap on a silencer because in other interviews they stated unique weaponry will not be moddable. :(

Also I hope the weathered pistol is not the only 10mm in the game. Also I think it would have bad weapon health considering its a weathered weapon, maybe it my have a somewhat higher or likelier damage multiplier?

were you hear this? as i recall mention of unique weapons are moddable but you may want to save them for unique mods you find. and i do recall them mentioning their being unique varients of mods.

from what i remember hearing is that the unique weapons wont need to be modded because they are already fully tricked out but that weathered 10milly doesnt seem to be modded at all but neither do any of the other preorder weapons so im guessing they can be modded

also because the 10mm is weathered im guessing it can withstand alot more than a regular one and its condition wont drop as fast
