Whats up guys. I am going to start a clan. I Love Brink (screw the reviews). The game is awesome!!! So I wanted to find out if anybody wanted to start a Clan with me.

Now I currently play with three others mostly. We need some other players to round out the squad. I will explain exactly what I am trying to do. But I first want to make a few things clear. I am 30 years old, with a job and a GF. Time for me is limited so I will need someone to help me manage the clan. I will be fully involved but will not be able to play all the time. Just goes the life of an advlt I guess and it svcks because this game is SICK!!! Also I am big on communication so please have a mic.

I am looking to schedule time and dates for clan tryouts, clan practices and clan matches. Here is how I would like to structure everything.

Overall we are (insert clan name here) and their will be teams based off:
1. Location/Timezone
2. Overall gaming attitude (% of Casual/Competition)
3. Playstyle (Loan wolf or team player)
4. Preferred Class (Medic, Engineer, Soldier, Operative)

In the beginning we will establish Two team with more if necessary. Alpha and Beta with Charlie then Delta etc..... That way it will be a coordinated team effort but you will be able to manage your team accordingly. The biggest thing for me is that we do have a structured way of doing things. Especially practices, tryouts, matches, disputes, ranks and strategy. For example we should look to schedule a clan match on the same day. Maybe not the same time but the same day.

If you are interested just reply to this thread and if the conversation needs to be taken offline then we can do so.

I am open to suggestions to work out the details. I am not set in stone on any decision that is in this post. We can use any suggestion that you would like but we would just need the ground work on how we implement the Clan and also we need a CLAN NAME LOL.

Last clan I was in was for Greg Hastings Paintball for the origional XBOX (GHTP ALLSTARS) and we were #1 ranked from the start of the game to the finish of XBOX #1. We won a few prizes and turneys but i have been slacking on my competeitve gaming since. I play all the time and am still a good player, I just need to get back into some competition! Gaming is not the same without it!

As for clan name I think something like a merc. group name would fit both resistance and security(Like Blue Suns from Mass Effect or Foxhound from MGS) I'm also a svcker for color coordination if only one color in common(dunno how well this would work in brink lol maybe color code the ranks?)

UPDATE: Hey guys good initial meeting last night. Everybody is ready to participate. We have a few rules in place now which I will update you with.

One thing that was brought up was about changing your GT to a clan name. WE WILL NOT ASK FOR YOU TO CHANGE YOUR GT. We think it is not reasonable to ask you to pay to change your GT to a clan name.

So now that that is out the way lets get down to business.

We are 8 people strong with a few others that contacted me but we have not officially discussed joining the Clan. We will concentrate on 5v5 games until SD patches the game to make 8v8 more playable (serious lag issues). I will update the roster in my next post later today with call signs instead of full GT's.

Their will be a trial period just so we can get to know each other. We want to see if we gel with you and also give you a chance to do the same with us. We want to have a serious but fun experience. Not end up yelling due to different personalities just no jiving. The trail period will last for a week with a minimum of five 5v5 games played. Once that is completed we will vote to get you in. Once you are voted in then you will be considered a prospect. Meaning you are part of the team but not a official member with a rank in the squad. The prospecting period will be determined by the amount of time you are part of the team. We haven't figured out a good time frame for that but that will be updated when we make a decision.

The clan name for now is M4M (Murder 4 Money) we consider our selves merc's so we titled ourselves as such. We will have sub groups after that but we have not actually figured out how we will tackle that. We may do military alphabets like M4M Alpha or M4M Delta or maybe just do actual names M4M Bloodpack or M4M Foxhound.

Ok I sent you a FR. We need some casual players as we have been playing private matches alot. Its great to not have to deal with a lot of lag problems but we could use some more bodies as everyone is not on at the same time.

UPDATE 5/17/11: I was out over this weekend but I am back now. But most of the clan played together over the weekend. Got some really cool guys so far. Can't wait for all the details to be hashed out and we can proceed with our gamebattles.com domination!!! LOL But anyway we have ran into some problems so I would like to post an update of where we are. Been hard to compete with large teams due to either Lag or no party system. We seem to end up on the wrong teams or we don't have enough people yet to do large private matches. Hopefully with the brand new update we will be good to go but we will see tonight when we run some more games.

Now I want to discuss communication. Which we all agree is key. You have a mic so use it. BUT ONLY WITH HELPFUL INFORMATION. We had a guy that wanted to get in on a game with us so we let him in and to his credit he was a good Medic the problem was is he knew he was and let everybody hear it through the entire match. Needless to say he was not the best in the match but he was seriously chatty in a bad way. Cocky abrasive attitudes will not work in our clan so if you are that type of player please join another clan. And if you are a gamer you know what I am talking about. The guy in the COD, Halo or Gears lobby, before the match even starts, that tells everybody that is talking to "shut the hell up" or "your mom said that last night" or ......... And then the entire match they are degrading players instead of giving valuable tactical info that helps the team accomplish the goal. So in closing please bring your A game for the team.
