Well, hello. I am a new member to this forum and I wished to join this forum after I completed this game and all the missions and everything in the game for my first playthrough but I encountered this problem and after trying to resolve this myself, I resigned myself to the fact that this is likely some kind of error.

Anyway, the problem occurred while trying to complete the mission "Young Hearts", a ridiculous mission where the Courier has to find a date for this person named Jack in the Nellis AFB. Anyway, the mission said I had to talk to the characters and persuade Alice to let the woman leave her contract and persuade the Boomers to allow her to enter their military base. The problem occurred after I convinced Alice to let the woman leave. I fast traveled to Nellis and waited for the woman to arrive because I needed to speak with her. I waited for a day and I noticed that the game had checked that off and the strangest thing of all occurred. Jack and his new girlfriend had fasttravelled to Black Mountain for some reason. More specifically, south of black mountain, in an unreachable area on top of a mountain! So now the game is saying that I need to speak to Jack but he the game placed him (and his girlfriend too) on top of some random mountain in the middle of NOWHERE!!! Now that I can not speak to him, I can not complete "Young Hearts" or speak to him about a some "rebreather" technology I need for another mission.

I don't know if others have had this same problem but this is not really acceptable. I can handle the glitching, the sudden freezing, the occasional unresponsive controls and other problems but this is ridiculous! Bethesda, fix your game!

I'm bringing this issue back to the top of the list because it is important. I need to finish this quest. Can someone help me with this problem?

Have you tried doing the other quest without the rebreather?

I assume that it is impossible considering my character drowns in five seconds. I would simply like to know why the game teleported Jack and his crazy girlfriend to some random mountain. I am talking to them then they are suddenly in an inaccessible area. What should I do about it?

So am I the only person that has encountered this problem? Does anyone think I should I reload a previous save and try that mission again? This is really the weirdest glitch I have encountered in a long time. I don't know what I should do about it. If this mission is broken, I will have to avoid it but this isn't the only broken mission I have seen in this game.

I've never heard it happen to anyone else. It didn't happen to me, either, but that might be because I followed the lady instead of fast travelling ahead.

It did not bug out on me.

I will try to reload a previous save and hope that it doesn't occur a second time. I think this glitch should be added to that list of bug/glitches in the Xbox360 issues forum under "Questline Bugs". It is a very serious problem and I would think that others would have encountered it too although they may not be members here to report it.

I do not know if that is the problem but it could be that I waited a day after I fasttravelled to talk to the woman and after that, the game said I spoke to her and then I noticed that Jack and that woman was teleported to that random mountaintop. Crazy glitch if this is actually a glitch.

I've encountered this bug, too.
I followed the quest marker to Black Mountain, near the radioactive crater on the south side; but no one is there.
I guess this one will remain 'unfinished'... :angry:
