Your argonian character.

As far as argonian skin feels like, I remember a dev mentioned it is less like crocodile skin, and more like snake skin. However, with the advent of The Oblivion Crisis, the Hist did pump some mutagens into the argonians in order to make them more battle ready (as mentioned by Mere-Glim in the TES books). Since then, it's probably more rough and leathery.

Yeah, the Argonians were so nasty during the Oblivion Crisis that the Dremora were scared [censored]less of them when they started pouring into Oblivion Gates. The Dremora had to shut down the Oblivion Gates in Black Marsh just to save themselves from the Argonians. Wonder what would be the result if a Argonian and Daedroth mated?
Anyways, Argonians would likely make incredibly good martial artists, perhaps even better than Khajiits, due to their "appendages". Not only do they have sharp claws like a Khajiit, but they also have a thick, scaly tail that probably hits like a battering ram when swung like a round house. Imagine a Argonian choking someone to death with his tail. Some Argonians also have spikes or even "ram's horns" protruding from their head. Imagine getting gored or head butted by those. Plus like said earlier, they have natural armor in the form of their rough scaly skin.

Argonians have some incredibly sharp claws. Mere-Glim uses his as weapons numerous times during the Elder Scrolls novels, even disemboweling a huge slaughterfish like creature with them.

Whoa! The reason I was wondering about Argonians and Hand to Hand was because of Mere-Glim and how he has such sharp claws.

Thanks. I recently read both Elder Scrolls novels and read that the Hist made Argonians more battle ready from the tree sap or something during the Oblivion Crisis.

When I first played Morrowind, I always played as a Dunmer. Sometime, between then and Oblivion, I grew fond of Argonians and they are now who I mostly play as. My current character is a pink, female Argonian who is a sort of champion of Mara. She is the embodiment of virtue, albeit with a few skeletons in her closet. She easily succumbs to daedric influence and willingly does their bidding, and because there aren't many Argonians in Skyrim, she reluctantly does whatever she can to help them even if they ask her to do something illegal. I was going to have her join the Thieves Guild, which was a bit out-of-character outside of their lore-based connection with Nocturnal, but glitches and a cluttered quest log made me re-think my decision. All in all, I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. My Argonians were usually only green. Pink fits her, though.

I'm still trying to get really into my argonian. He is still young (level 7) so haven't used too many skills:

Two-handed
Light armor (fur only, the bare chested kind)
Smithing

He took a hard left out of Helgen and has been steadily gaining favor around Falkreath (there is a big lake nearby he likes to swim in).

He will probably migrate northward to Morthal and its marshes next.

I haven't made one yet, but I think I might make an Argonian warrior thingy with one-handed, archery and light armor. Ranger-ish maybe.
