Your characters life after adventure...

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 2:10 am

Im sure a thread already exists for this topic but im too lazy to find it so here goes... My laid back wood elf scout is gonna retire in riverwood with his bestest bud and fellow bosmer faendal and they're gonna open up theyre own archer shop right next to the sleeping giant inn. Im also gonna invite Undinil to live with us just cause for a guy who's stuck in freezing winhelm selling horses while dragons fly about, he's a pretty upbeat fellow. Gonna live the simple life with my 2 buds and occosainally do small very safe quests... Easy livin' in Riverwood for this laid back bosmer dude....

When my mage retire from adventuring he's gonna draw back to the College of Winterhold to focus on his Arch-Mage duties. He's gonna tutor young fellow mages and also get married. As a hobby he is gonna make potions to discover and sell.

Gonna settle down with Aela in Hjerim, I will however continue to act as a hidden blades agent ( like there were in Oblivion) ready to be contacted should the need arise...

If I was my High Elf mage(which I wish I was), after adventuring for many years, I would go back to the College of Winterhold and live the rest of my long life devoted to the study of magic.

I wouldn't expect to be able to decipher the Elder Scrolls, who could?! But I would do some serious research. The most fascinating things have to do with magic. Perhaps I would go and live with the Greybeards for a bit, jotting down some notes and stories about them, learning the more secret powers of the Voice.

But I'll tell you one thing I would do, I'd rebuild Winterhold. Seriously, the city was destroyed about 80 years ago and it still looks like [censored]. What the hell, Jarl, what is the point of you?! Maybe that would even fix people's prejudice against the College. Can't believe the College didn't think of that themselves. Morons.

Like Ulfric said, "The day soldiers are no longer needed is the day I retire from this world."
In my character's case its adventuring.

Hmm...I guess after adventures my oldish fisherman/warrior Argonian is going to spend more time in Honeyside's porch (in Riften) drinking and fishing. Oh, and with his wife Shahvee.

My thief will most likely retire in her Whiterun abode and get a part time job tanning leather and sharpening blades at Warmaidens :)

I would most likely disband the dark brother hood then gather the remaining members and retreat deep into the moutains where we live and carefree secluded life. Would occasionally performing assasination and jobs for the thieves guild to keep the coin flowing, probably going to set up our own little camp somewhere!

Take my 200 sweetrolls and go into the mountins and build a home in one of them and bring everything I own and put it into a vault and gaurd it with the wabbajack and anyone who dares to seek my great treasure shall be turned into a sweetroll and join the other sweetrolls and all the loot I own in the vault.

My Thief steals everyone's clothes and drops them in the center of the market in various cities. Some may call them junk...

My Assassin hardly every goes to the Sanctuary any more, and just creates general mayhem with Call Storm and archery in Solitude.

My Berserker Orc keeps trying to hit those rabbits with his Warhammer...

My Mage just got Ritual Spells, and spends most of his time creating elemental walls around that annoying Talos guy in Whiterun calling everyone maggots.

My Necromancer is really enjoying Dead Thrall. Especially after a long stint in the Dark Brotherhood. One would think the townsfolk of Solitude would attack me on sight for keeping him in tow.

.....

Side note :

This thread sort of leads me to believe many people only make one character.

I would retire to Riften permanently, settle down, and start running the Thieves Guild more directly.

For some odd reason I just got the mental image of the Greybeards dancing to a Venga Boys song. o.o;

My Khajiit retired to his home in Whiterun where he took care of his estate and handled a few domestic issues here and there, but the sudden lack of adventure ate at his mind. Less than a month after defeating Alduin, he made a radical decision to return to his family in Dune, Elsweyr and live out the rest of his life with his kin. He sold many of his treasures to pay for the journey and kept a hefty sum of gold to retire, but donated much of his belongings to the Temple of Kynareth, including Beezehome. His departure was largely uneventful and no one knows if he'll be remembered, but he prefers to fade from history as time passes. Humility has always been his most cherished virtue and looks forward to returning to a more simpler life, living the rest of his days in peace.

Mine became a guard, after recieving a career-ending injury. No points for guessing where or what inflicted it.

He'll spend his retirement greeting all of your characters with "I used to be an adventurer like you, until"
