Trying to get back to the thread: I like the Nords. I also like pretty much every civilized race.

my favourite race. Has been since Morrowind. I have Northern European (Baltic) ancestry so I naturally identify them over the other races.

The quote "Skyrim belongs to the Nords" doesnt mean what you claim it means. Its a battle cry and as such is abbreviated. If you talk to Nords (with the exception of Rolff) you can see that its obvious that that they arent trying to kick anyone out or trying to say outsiders have no right to be there. They are just saying that Skyrim should be self ruled, not ruled by the empire or the Thalmor.

I'm a bit unsure about the Nords. I think it depends on where they grew up. Skyrim Nords seem to be all about skull crushing to get your point across. The majority seem set in their Nordic ways from a young age. Perhaps Skyrim, a harsh place to live, does this to them. Makes them hot headed and wanting to fight alot. Other non Skyrim Nords seem less hot headed and violent. I think the culture has a lot to do with it. Nords are all about glory and war and stuff, so they like fighting and having a good fight is sometihng of honour, at least in Skyrim. I know there are a few exceptions like Brunwulf, but the majority aren't like Brunwulf.

So yeah, I think that Nords are violent, brutal and too fight happy for my liking. They seem to think that the best way out of anything is to fihgt your way out, and refuse any other form of logic. I also think that mentality translates onto pretty much every other aspect of them. The Nord way, or no way. Which is often the stupid way.

Such a shame. One does not think the Tall Hairy One with the Vivid Fondness for Blue will give sympathy for a Khajiit who joins him? J'rahzir has mentioned once before, once more, and once again. Dunmer are cruel people and deserve all they receive and more. It is unwise for any Khajiit to think the Dunmer have learned their lesson.

Even with Elsweyr seceding from the empire and entering the Dominion? I suspect the feeling towards Khajiit is not very warm in Cyrodiil, either.

From what I'v come across in the game, the nords went out of their way to get rid of them and the snow elves went to find cover with the dwemer, them the dwemer turned on them and chucked them back to the nords...

I don't think the snow elves wanted to fight in the first place.

My opinion on Nords is they are a strong, resilient, and proud people. Its Ulfric who is on a power trip and the Stormcloaks blindly follow him on the battlefield for Nord honor. This war is not about the Nords its about Ulfric and his arrogance.

One thing I hate about either Stormcloak or Imperial playthroughs is you have to take an oath to specific people. Not causes. People. Mede or Ulfric. Meh. I'm the protagonist here. Mede is an illegitimate ruler and Ulfric is out of line. The only thing that makes Mede somewhat more tolerable is you don't get to meet or deal with him, without some extreme circumstances. Another thing I hate are the Stormcloak officer speeches and their worship of Ulfric. "We are the true sons and daughters of Skyrim... and Ulfric is the truest of us all." [censored] off.

I can confirm that. I was in Sweden not long ago, and it's true that climate there is significantly more mild than in central Russia. I also think it's due to gulfstream.

The Nords of Skryim are just as racist and bigoted as the Dunmer from Morrowind.
The two are vary comparible. Especially if you play Morrowind with any race other then Dunmer (even as a Dunmer they're very cold and rude)

The Nords might not like other races, they may not accept them into cities. But in the same sense they don't take them as slaves either.

As for the Falmer (They are Falmer, calling them Snow Elves is like calling the Dwemer, Dwarves.), they started the conflict and they were beaten. The Nords simply displaced them. It was the Dwemer who corrupted them.
It's not an horrific act to defeat an enemy, and those here that think it is, should probably consider that the next time they wipe out a bunch of Falmer themselves, they maybe corrupted but they still hold the same value and mentality. Which is exactly why they are where they are.

I like most of the nords but not anyone in windhelm/stormcloaks. but they get a few points for what they are doing to those dunmer pricks.
