When you play an assassin, which race do you choose?

Makes sense. Are you saying you ONLY play Bosmer? Or is that your only assassin character?

I only ever really play as an Assassin and in every fantasy game (as long as I'm given the option) I play as a Wood Elf; every now and then I try to deviate and create a different race/class, but it never lasts aha.

Argonians, because of the Shadowscale lore.
Bretons also kind of make sense because of the whole court intrigue theme of High Rock.

Is it weird that I play Orcs when I play assassins? I know they are stereotyped as the heavy armor related frontline warriors, but they just feel so "right" when used as ruthless cutthroats.

Well, there was that orc in the Dark Brotherhood. They strike me more as bandits than assassins though.

Personally I prefer Dunmer. I had to play a Nord assassin, though, because I didn't like the eyebags. But the Dunmer have good shadowblade abilities.

Argonian

There was an orc assassin in the Oblivion DB, if you recall. I liked him. He didn't believe in all the Sithis crap, he just wanted to kill stuff.

Khajitt or Argonian for bonuses...

Dunmer for the way they look in Shrouded.

Imperial, and I imagine him with a voice like Ezio Auditore's. Guess what his name is?

I've played both an Argonian and a Bosmer assassin, and both did perfectly fine. A Khajiit would be a fine choice. In the end it barely even matters since you level up your skills anyways, but I think these three classes have the biggest advantage at the start of the game, due to racial bonuses.

"Its'a me! Ehtzio!"

I kid, I kid...

I loved the AC games, and Ezio was a freaking badass... particularly at the end of AC Brotherhood.

Khajiits, they start out with 25 sneak levels and their racial ability lets them see in the dark. They're also strong with unarmed attacks, making for a great unarmed build with the gloves of pugilist enchantments.

I'm currently trying a female Khajit as an assassin type character. She's only at about level 9 right now, but so far, so good.

Khajiits just feel right in that role. I made a Khajiit assassin/thief a few days ago and he's already my favorite character.

I only ever play Altmer or the occasional Breton. Perhaps only Breton would make sense in Skyrim, from a world not game point of view, hard to blend in when everyone wants to know what the damned Elf is up to.

Well, there was an orc in heavy armour who was part of the Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion. Gogron gro-Bolmog? So they exist. :)
