Your favourite and least favourite aspects about Skyrim.

Favourite: The gaming world (atmosphere, music, scenery)

Least favourite: Dialogue/writing (with some exceptions, notably all the written lore)

Good thread by the way, gets to the point and tells us a lot about each other's style.

Favorite: The combat feels satisfying to me, and the visuals are very pretty.

Least Favorite: Two big ones for me. The first is that I feel that magic is underpowered, but leave that aside for a moment. Magic has been so chopped down from the removal of spells and schools of magic, and the removal of spell-making and the lack of a 'Mage' infrastructure (College of Winterhold vs. a Mages Guild in most major cities) really detract from playing as a magic user. I have no real desire to play one in Skyrim.

The second thing is the lack of special things to do in general. I want more Guilds - two or even three times the Guilds we have now, with two or three times the quests. They are so important and yet so under-utilized and under-cared for in Skyrim, compared to Oblivion and certainly Morrowind. In Skyrim they're either too short like the guilds, or not well-done like the Stormcloak/Imperials. I feel like so much of my game is just wandering around looking for random quests to do to try and space out doing the main quest or just add some bulk to my playthrough. Every magic character basically has to join the College of Winterhold. Every warrior character basically has to join the Companions if they want to do a guild, and it gets a bit old doing the same seven quests over and over again each playthrough.

Best: Combat, Atmosphere, Graphics, Immersion.

Worst: Lackluster Guilds and Quests, Boring Magic/Lack of Spell Making.

OP I just checked your content, as I recalled you mentioning Kill-Cams before, and nearly all your recent post are about Kill-Cams. I get it, you don't like Kill-Cams.

I think starting this thread, just so you can pout about Kill-Cams again is bordering on Trolling.

He talks about it religously. Sometimes I get the feeling that he created a seperate accounts just to talk about kill cams.

Best: Cool enchantments, nice weapons, weapons never break, smith your own weapons.

Worst: Can't smith arrows, boring and stereotypical guilds, cheesy quest lines, dumbed down magic, no spell creation.

Best = Kill cams.
Worst = Not enough kill cams.

I almost say the same...

Best = Kill cam / Combat / Character building and development / Graphic

Worst = too few kill cam / too little differences between different kind of weapons / too little consequence in quest decision / ugly people and ugly armor

Best: The animations, the gameworld, sword & board combat

Worst: 1. Many of the quests are too short and too shallow.

2. No spell creation

3. There is not enough depth for the Forsworn. If I had a Breton or Nord character it would be great to have an option to join them through some intiation.

4. Very disappointed with the aftermath of the civil war quests. The leaders of remnant camps should not be set essential. The defeated Jarls should not be consigned to one room in the Blue Palace (I understand the reason why, it just doesn't seem right for lore reasons).

5. Nerfed Destruction spells.

6. Blackreach does not have enough real quests.

7. Should be able to re-build Helgen and Winterhold.

8. More of the perks should have been automatic for leveling the particular skill. Particularly for Mage perks like Novice, Apprentice, Adept, etc. Mages should be at least balanced with warriors.

9. Ward spells should be a timed effect (last 30 sec, or 60 sec) not based upon how much magicka your character has left. Mage combat is hard enough.

10. If Player Characters can be bards, why can't we equip instruments and play them for coin in pubs, hostels, and taverns. At least sing for money.

Good post, I'm knackered.

I have never played any of the other games (in this seriers) but i will tell ya a little about my HIGH Elf at lvl 34... Evevryone seems that they hate Destruction, Im lvl 78 and i love it... I also love bound weapons... and all of the other aspects of the game... i could do without lockpick other than that they all seem legit... Trust me at times when my MP runs out i will duel wield and bing it to ya... then sometimes i love casting with a Dea... and hallin ass to recharge. Then come gack with a full charge magic attack... 160 hrs in... Not even close to done

Best: the world itself and the interactions between the npcs
worst: no cool gear and staves for casters (mages, necromancers et similia). The Archmage's poncho is the highest available, it's not cool at all, it's not even complete, I've got to borrow gauntlets and footwears from other kind of gear.

Best: Graphics

Worst:
Gutted magic system; very few spells & no spellmaking
No spears, no crossbows, no throwing weapons
(supposedly) rare materials aren't, due to leveled lists & way to easy to gather materials to craft them.
Attributes have been gutted
The guilds svck
Interactions with NPCs are shallow and meaningless
No good items placed permanently in the game world (glass armor at ghost gate anyone?)
Loot in chests svcks
Non combat skills svck now
I can't walk 10' down the road without getting jumped by some damn thing or another.
Leveled enemies.

I think that about covers it.

Worst: Broken/bugged quests and Destruction magic.

immersion?

and a very weak and exploitable character system where early choices are relegated to nothing.

give me the choice to fail miserably.

skills and perks system is broken, btw.

Favorite: Picking off targets with my archery skills, The silence of the Nightingale armor, and being able to be the leader of all the different organizations.

Least Favorite: Not Being able to marry Brynjolf (Or any of the Thieves guild Men), The hottest outfit for us women to wear has no armor and can only be found a few ways (Kill the vampire chick in Morthol), and once again, not being able to marry Brynjolf...lol...he so had me at "Lass"...hahaha

Favorite: Beautiful landscape, free roam, my character Tristan, and some NPC's comment if you're in the altogether. (that means naked)

Least Favorite: Absolutely no depth, and general meaninglessness in every story line. So, usually I just go wandering around exploring, just like I did in Oblivion, F3, and F:NV. Unique weapons and armor are nothing but a weak enchantment and a different name, which is why every weapon and every bit of clothing/armor I have for my character is from mods. Also, the bug ridden CK. And I want to play the lute! Joined up with the Bard's College and it has nothing to do with playing an instrument!

it's pretty remarkable that we can't move quests to a deeper and inactive menu or store quest items in specific container within the game.

Being stuck with quest items is something I've hated since Oblivion and I'm unhappy to see it return in Skyrim.

I don't need the developers baby sitting me, item management should go back to the way it was in Morrowind.

Best: Cast ice spike at a rabbit, kill cam engages with cool slow mo animation, the ice spike flys towards the rabbit menacingly
Worst: ice spike flys clear over the rabbit by a mile in slo mo for an epic kill cam anomoly, rabbit flees deeper into the tundra grateful to be alive thanking the gods of kill cam failage
