I don't know I haven't found them all and it would depend on the charactor build on what fits best.

This belongs in the spoiler section.

Same Here, Volsung....Good to have at lower levels. Usually the first one I look for for in the game.

My personal favorite is Krosis, probably because it is the only one that is obviously meant for stealth (not to say you couldn't use it for other characters).

Volsung is probably the overall most useful.

None, they're all ugly.

If I had to pick, probably Krosis.

It does because people are naming who the dragon priests are.

Some posts even say what they do without spoiler tag like the underwater one.

Konharik. Best defense, even slightly above a Daedric helmet. Effect is real nice to have if you find yourself getting low on health, and I've even had it happen a couple times where I managed to summon a dragon priest spectral to help me which was awesome. Also looks pretty cool with the tusks.

Does teh effect happen every time? or is it a 'chance'?

A chance, but a good chance from my experience.

I always seem to end up playing sneaky characters, so Krosis.

Rare chance to summon dragon priest. Slightly higher chance to self heal. I'm not sure if it heals you fully but so far it feels like full healing spell. Also damages enemies with a cool looking fire spell.

EXCEPTIONALLY RARE, from mine. I gave it to Marcurio, who I met at level 2, so the mask went active quite frequently. I would guess that for every 10 times his health got low, the cloak or healing effect would activate maybe 3-4 times. Dragon Priest was summoned 3 times that I can recall, after about 40 hours of gameplay. One time that effing Dragon Priest revived my Bandit Chief thrall, who turned to ash when he died, so I had to lug another 80 pounds of gear out of there after.

Krosis is is my favourite, but Volsung is also useful. I'm still not sold on Konahrik but I can see why people like it.

But if you get Konahrik you lose Volsung. Too bad... For me Volsung is the best as it's the only artifact or item that can be used to explore underwater. I will keep it forever and maybe sell all the others rather than keeping them in a cupboard.

I'm in with Volsung as well, love the underwater-breathing ability. But they're all cool in their own right. My current character is just one short--needing Nahkriin--and he'll be able to visit a certain place only accessible with the complete set.

My one comment about them, I think they should carry some sort of intimidation factor. They do make a character look totally bad-ass, after all. *shrugs* Maybe we'll be able to make some adjustments with the Creation Kit...

For my mage it is Morokei - 100% magic regeneration rate.

But I do not like that the masks are called armor. I cannot wear one and get the mages (oak, stone, iron, ebony)flesh bonus. I would use a mod that declassifies the masks as mere cothing..
