Do you have a follower that you always take everywhere, and has stayed with you for a long time?

Kharjo the Khajiit is mine, met him protecting a caravan and hes been with me for most of my adventure. Hes a strong warrior, able to use 2h or 1h and shield, hes a strong follower indeed. I actually feel quite a connection to him, being a Khajiit myself. I would be upset if he died :c

How about you?

O, I wish I had one but I find that I work best on my own. Can't have silly Lydia running into battle and get herself killed whilst I'm setting up a trap. x.x

I love Jordis the Sword-Maiden. But I accidentally hit her with Marked for Death (god knows when) & now she's bugged & practically useless. She gets put down with 1 or 2 melee hits...

Derkeethus as he looks hilarious and never blinks, Annekke Crag-Jumper as she's good at sneak and archery and Belrand as he looks totally incapable of doing anything other than dying. Luckily with mods I can have all three. :)

Stenvar.
Why? After I proceeded to wreck up Candlehearth Hall, he just sat there drinking.
Only words he uttered was after I dropped the bard on her head.
"That's a shame."

Lydia until she was killed, then Jordis the Sword-Maiden. I married Jordis in my last game.

In general, Marcurio. He kicks ass, and I love his attitude problems :P (he is very keen on telling you how good he is and how much he knows, I think it's a sign of low self esteem. Maybe he was bullied as a child and decided to take revenge by becoming the best destruction mage)

My Breton keeps Vilkas close for several reasons: most important, he does his job and never gets in her way (which is impressive, considering they both use greatswords). They're married, so she gets the Lover's Comfort bonus everywhere (sadly, he stopped cooking for her). He's an excellent model when she wants to try out all different heavy armor sets she doesn't use herself since she's into light armor. He's got an impressive amount of battlecries, that makes me laugh, and he's also quite hilarious when given a couple of staves - apparently he has a secret wish to play mage, when I gave him a staff that threw firebolts, he had so much fun roasting everything that looked at him that I eventually had to take it away... :P

None of my two Nord characters have found their favorites yet, but one of them got along quite well with Erik (once she'd given him light armor and a two-handed weapon instead of his default).

I like Benor, because he's the best warrior in Morthal, and that's no boast.

Erik The Slayer is my one <3 xxxxxxxx
I always feel like his mentor.

Macurio has also proven loyal. Its like we started off having grudges against eachother (mainly because he got me arrested when i tried to pickpocket him) and then after i hired him and had many adventures, we became long lost friends. It was like the ending of Top Gun.
But he just never saw that giant coming......
THATS WHAT SHE SAID oh wow

I've always liked Janessa from The Drunken Huntsman. She's a badass Dunmer that comes off as a real assassin type mercenary, being that she's one of the only who will actually dual wield correctly.

Brelyna Maryon is adorable - but I don't use her as a follower.

Cosnach may be my favourite. A drunken native of the Reach with a "screw it" attitude towards
everything.

Otherwise, Derkeetheus is also a worthy companion due to the one fact that he is an Argonian... And Argonians are awesome.

Absolutely... and let's not forget his constant complaining, and his occasional reasssurances that he'll 'scent out danger... or perhaps not".
That aside though, he's a one man (cat) wrecking crew... give him some 'robes of destruction' and a staff, and watch the bodies fly... or alternately, I've given him ebony armour and a greatsword and ... hell... that works too.
Essentially, J'zargo is the adventurer we'd all be if we were capable... I'd rather be his follower.
