For me? Cazadores.

Much more currently, the Spanish Empire, and the Germans.

The grue.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Revenants in classic Doom. The Final Doom Revenant: Plutonia Chaingun experiment was hell :hehe:

Any invincible enemies that aren't puzzle bosses, like guards that I'm supposed to avoid or sneak around.

Funny thing is, when I play Thief, I almost never kill the guards, because when you actually have the choice to kill them, it's more satisfying to sneak around or incapacitate them.

Greater Bonewalkers from Morrowind

Your strength has been damaged
Your strength has been damaged
Your strength has been damaged
Your strength has been damaged
You get the idea.

Also, Amnesia's Prison and Storage levels. Most terrifying parts of the game, hands down.

Probably Luca Blight. (Suikoden II). Easily one of the most evil characters I've ever seen. Both in real life and in any form of fiction. Boss battle was also very difficult...

Spiders. In all video games, without fail or exception, spiders always always always end up as the most annoying enemies out there. They're often fast, numerous, inflict some kind of poison status effect, and slow you down (if not outright freeze you in your tracks) with their fricken webs!

On a related note: Tektites from pretty much every Zelda game. Hard to hit, love to appear at the worst possible times, and usually take multiple hits to kill.

Yeah, screw them.

Oh, and the damn ogre thing from ZORK.

You dodge sideways and the ogre cleanly lops off your head.

Creepers

Agreed! :P

The first time I played Minecraft a freaking creeper came out of no where and blew up my perfectly constructed wooden cottage, I was so pissed. Nevertheless the damage was done and I salvaged all I could and went on my merry way.
