Hello, fellow Prey, Sci-fps fans, and all others whom it may concern. As you may or may not know already, rumors have scattered across the internet regarding the possible cancellation of our most beloved title in development, Prey 2. Now, this topic is not to confirm or deny the actual state of the Prey 2 cancellation but merely to address how we can work together to possibly sway the minds over at HumanHead and Bethesda. Despite the possibility that Prey 2 has already been cancelled and not publicly been announced, we as fans of this game, should address how we feel about such a possibly disappointing and undeserving decision.

At its core, Prey 2 has an excellent concept. Combining open-world platforming with Sci-fi FPS action is one that has truly never been fully realized or appreciated by developers in our realm of modern games and I challenge anyone to prove me wrong on this. As such, I will appropriately give credit where credit is due.

With all that being said, I understand the worrisome hysteria that may lurk over those that fear of Prey 2's cancellation. I understand how this game may be on top for your personal list of games to buy. I even understand that this game doesn't deserve to be cancelled when games of less potential "cough" Brink "cough" got their releases from Bethesda despite being both horribly built and reviewed.

So, what are we as Prey 2 enthusiasts to do? Simply put, WE express our feelings on the subject.
I recognize the fact that their are plenty of trolls and skeptics who would love to profess their apathetic views on this situation but I implore those who want this game's release to assert their opinion diligently. Email both HumanHead studios and Bethesda. TELL them how badly you want Prey 2 to stay in development. Let them know that you are willing to buy this game. They need to know that the fanbase for the Prey franchise is backing the upcoming Prey 2.

Post videos on YouTube about your desires for Prey 2 to be released if applicable. Post on blog sites. Let the developers know that a huge fanbase does exist.

At last I say, fellow enthusiasts on this and other Prey 2 forums, Let your voices be heard. Show HumanHead and Bethesda that Prey 2 DESERVES a release just like the other games that they've released recently.

Be vigilant, be diligent, and then maybe we might be able to step into the world of Exodus with Killian Samuels sometime in the future.

I'm not a businessman so I don't know why it's being cancelled(if it is), but I know I don't like it. Prey 2 looks like a marvelous game, extremely polished and a world I really want to explore, I had no real attachment to the first Prey but I still praise the fact it tried something new and was a great launch title for next-gen.

I hope however, that it's not cancelled, maybe it's moved on to next-gen consoles? Maybe it's being delayed?

If it does get cancelled, and Humanhead are as independent from Zenimax-Bethesda as I think they are then I hope they can find a publisher willing to succeed with the game (they will, regardless of further development time or cost imo).

*UPDATE*

I just talked with a gamestop rep and he told me that according to their records, Prey 2 was recently pushed back to a release date of 2013 from the expected approx. date of April 4th, 2012 date.
