Your partner and Skyrim

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 11:45 am

So guys i was curious as to what your partner thinks about skyrim, do they adore it as much as you? Or do they despise it in every way possible?

My girlfriend's okay with it, she just enjoys swimming down rivers. But gets annoyed if im on it excessivley (most of the time)

So what about you guys and girls :)

She used to kick up a fuss about my gaming, but shes gotten over it as I only get on the 'box when I've finished everything I need to do.

I think my husband sometimes regret buying it for me :P No, he's very understanding. But he really doesn't get this game at all. He's more into Black Ops... And I guess I'm the gamer of the family anyway. At least 'til the kids get older. ;)

She wants to play, and I just keep playing her character telling her what she 'could' do...if I let her play. :P

My wife of 26+ years thinks little of it. She doesn't understand it at all so she goes shopping. Granted she doesn't really play any games. Even when I play cards with the kids she doesn't play.

My husband loves it like I do. He's on XBOX and I'm on PS3. He has more time to play than I do and has three characters at a total of close to 400 hours. I only have about 250 hours. He's taking a break from it until Dawnguard comes out. The bad thing is, I will have to be careful not to see any spoilers from his game before I get it! LOL

Husband played Skyrim but has long since moved on to other things. We often have different gaming priorities, which is fine. I can play with mods and it won't upset his game.

My wife finished the mages guild in both Oblivion and Skyrim, she likes it fine but prefers jrpgs.
Atm she's getting the last few achievments in Resident Evil 5 (and as I type I'm waiting for her to go to work heh heh, I'm off and I wanna play Skyrim!).

I suspect however that Dawnguard's vampire focus may tempt her to bring her undead hating mage out of retirement.

Don't have to worry about these things when you're single...many other things to worry about. 1: explaining why you're single...

We have different hobbies--I help care for, clean up after, and train his dogs, he makes sure my computer will play the games I want. Works out fine.

Both of us love Skyrim. He plays the game on the 360, I bought the pc version. But when dawnguard comes out, we'll play the dlc together. Neither of us is particularly fond of vampires, so we're probably going to join the dawnguard unless they turn out to be not so nice afterall. We have a character that belongs to the both of us, a spell sword, and play together quite often. Skyrim may be a single player game, but it's still fun to play the game together in the evenings. We sometimes argue about where we should go next, or about how we should go about defeating a tough enemy, but that just adds to the overall experience. When our spell sword dies, it's usually because we were wrestling for the controller.

She likes to watch.

Mine too but it's gotta be something fast paced and where I have the chance of getting my butt kicked( halo reach live )
My wife will watch me play Skyrim but usually ends up falling asleep or watching a movie on the laptop, other then that she has no issues as long as I'm not over doing the amout of game play, which is great considering she's not a gamer herself

She accepts my interest in it and even puts up with me getting nerdy about it at times, but she is personally indifferent to it.

My wife despise in every possible way The Elder Scrolls Series since i told her that i find Skyrim infinitely better than Any Final Fantasy games, before that she was even willing to try the game since i speak so much about it X___X (she's a gamer completely addicted to Final Fantasy, it's almost holy to her o_O q-)

My girlfriend's fine with me being addicted to Skyrim, in fact the other day before she went out to do the shopping she said I could play as much as I want.

Hold on... thats was 6 months ago, she's been gone an awfully long time!
