Playing on master difficulty I was walking down the road and I saw an angornian just standing in the middle of the road. When I approached him he said he was selling skooma for a fair price. Me being a "good" character I said "that sounds illegal". After he heard that he said he can't allow me to run to the gaurds to snitch on him and proceeds to attack me. The thing is he didn't have a weapon so he just ran up with his fist. I was with lydia at the time so I was thinking this guy is really stupid. As I'm getting my weapon out he hits me a couple times and then boom kill animation, He punches me twice then body slams me and I'm dead. I can't believe he killed me with his bare fist that easy. I know it's on master difficulty but unarmed seems to due more damage then it should.Hell, I can't even win bar fights on master difficulty. Well, I thought it was funny anyway so Its not a big deal. What were some of your WTF moments?

As for funny moments, I mentioned in another thread how I got tag teamed by a dragon and a mammoth. Funny to look back on, but not so funny at the time.

i had 3 wtf moments, lvl 40 first playthrough with main quest done, not saying much.. i guess i played it too much and im beginning to get very bored with this game already.

I killed a dark elf and removed his head and he got back up and ran away .

You need to move properly (while in 3rd camera) and y ou can avoid every punch they throw at you while you can hit them, figure that out and you win all bar fights

Playing as a destruction mage

I had -kind- of a similar experience.

I was duckin' and weavin' through a forest at night to get to my next quest objective when I am attacked by two vampires. One is an archer, and the other is just raising her dukes ready to punch my lights out. It may be important to note that I am on Adept difficulty and I play an Argonian Conjurer. I figure, "Alright, I summon up a flame atronach to distract the fighter, and I trade spell for arrows with the archer. First I should put up a stoneflesh..." I get out my spells, my Conjure in my left and my stoneflesh in my right, and I cast them. Immediately after I am done casting, the vampire gets to me and punches me square in the face. Through my ward, and through my FULL HP, I am instantly killed and thrown miles in the air and start rocketing across the land scape. My character's body was doing like a starfish spin type of maneuver miles above the ground and almost landed in a nearby lake before the game auto-loaded my last save.

Needless to say I looked like this - O.O for awhile after.

I was fighting a dragon, and my health was low so I used some potions in my favorites menu. Now having full health I exit the menu only to swing once then have the dragon put me in his mouth, shake and throw me. Got to love kill animations!! I guess when the computer decides to do one there's no chance of stopping it.

Fighting a few bandits and then noticing a mammoth going skywards into the air......

my biggest wtf moments
a follower that died at the hands and claws of an elf a troll and a couple of wolves appears in my house several weeks after the fact on her bed still dead as ever...then is gone when i come back, i have since moved because in no way do i want to be under the same roof with the walking dead while i sleep.

the second..i jumped over a snowy rock on horseback the horse dies on impact, and i get stuck in the icy water

That sounds pretty cool, I have yet to see any dragon kill animation. I'm really anxious to see it pick up someone and throw them in the air but I guess that doesn't happen to often.

I was creeping through a dungeon, killing Draugr with my bow. I hit one, and it does not go straight down. 2 More Draugr come to assist. One with a Bow, takes aim at me as I am withdrawing and I am one shooted. He was not even in Stealth!

Second dragon I fought, the first being the scripted one in the main quest. Still new to the game and low leveled, hadn't read the boards so didn't have a clue what to expect. Decided to explore and ran into a dragon. My character is an archer so it was a helluva fight, me mostly finding places to get out of the way of his dragon breath. Used up all of my health potions and finally took him down with just a few arrows left. Fist pump and Oo-rah! Then the kill animation. WTF? Saber tooth walks over my dead body.

While Fighting A Scripted Dragon, A Second Dragon Shows Up. I'm Playing On Master.

Giant taking down a giant in 3 hits then a MUDCRAB taking down the giant.

All while I watched from my rock.

i killed a dragon, absorbed his soul, turned around, and then there stood a giant a meter away from me swinging his club at me..........and then i saw high Hrotgar on my way into space as a corpse.

While traveling outside Whiterun I noticed a dead giant's hammer slowly ascending to the heavens. I watched it until it disappeared from view.

One weird moment i had when i came across the bridge near Whiterun at night, there was a glowing object heading toward me from south or riverwood. When it got closer it was a ghost horse with a headless humanoid riding on it and heading west. I was thinking "wtf" was that and why that person or it dont have a head?

I was walking up to the West Gate where the first dragon kill was. There was a dragon just chilling there... reanimated, I suppose? I did a double fireball and one-shotted it (I think). When I get up close, there is the body of a guard floating in mid air in three sections, head, torso and a leg. Just... floating.

I was at the Shrine to Mehrunes Dagon and my horse ( SHADOWMERE! ) just walked off the cliff and killed himself. Now I can never ride him again.!

Just finished an interesting dragon fight. Saw it over the next hill, ran to attack it while it was on the ground fighting, as it turns out, a sabre cat. Get a couple of arrows in it before the dragon takes off. Sabre cat comes for me. Finish it off, scan the sky and I see the dragon landing back the way I came. Hustle back over to put a couple more arrows in it. Dragon takes to the air again just as I get close and I see it was fighting a giant. Lucky me - the giant seems to think the dragon and I are aligned and comes running over at me. Rush back up to where the dead sabre cat was and the dragon lands right in front of me.

I veered wide of it, hoping the dragon and giant would take up their fight again. It worked. While they battered each other, I got a couple more shots in on the dragon, figuring it was the one I should worry about most. While it died and I was soaking up its soul, I saw Lydia go down. In desperation, I attempted stealth. The giant (who was barely injured, as it turns out) was not fooled. In fact, he decided he was king of this little hill and, with a swing of his club, ended this Dragonborn's life. That's right. My Dragonborn died on his knees.

Time to start again now after such a memorable (though embarrassing) end.

There's an ability for situations where beats join the fight and attack you instead of the dragon =D


my moment was my very first fight with a giant, I was with one of the companions, I figured hell they took down a giant it must be a piece of cake... I shoot an arrow watch my companion run in and get sent flying in one hit... I ran like hell after that I saw nothing...

I was merrily running around Whiterun Hold, as I often do.
Suddenly the skeleton of the first Dragon you kill in the main quest falls on my head.

W.T.F...

2:
Again, running around Whiterun Hold, I pass the farms where you first see a Giant get killed by the Companions.
So the Giant is still there, but I look up to the sky and his mace is floating in the air, slowly drifting higher and higher.

I had only fought the scripted dragon and not come across the giants before.

So exploring around I come across a giant fighting a dragon. I rush to the giants aid and we heroically battle the dragon for several minutes before we defeat it in melee combat.

The giant and I turn to look at each other and at first I thought he was raising his club for a victory cheer.....and then I am thrown to the next planet...

Ungrateful giant!
