It's not like Todd is responsible for EVERYTHING the company does, Bethesda Softworks marketing handles this stuff.

Err... the project manager is indirectly responsible for everything related to the project under his supervision.

Individual responsibilities are usually sorted at a later time, but -when a problem arises- guess whose phone will start to ring with an angry director on the other side? Guess who has to set up a contingency plan to resolve the unforeseen problem? That's right it's the project manager/leader/director whatever you want to call him.

Well I mean, Todd Howard is still saying that the PS3 release of Skyrim is their most stable and bug free release ever, and that the people who are saying they are having problems are exaggerating...

So, I'm pretty sure you're not gonna get any sort of responses like those any time soon lol.

Edit: To quote Howard so people dont think I'm talking out of my ass:

"Statistically, it is not nearly as bad as it seems. Meaning, by all the internal and external data, this(PS3) is our most solid release" - Todd Howard

I saw Bethblog's response to a european player who said asked them about the DLC's texture issues, they responded that they're "working on it"

Its aparently an MS error in mis-matched patch versions (ie French getting Italiian patch), not Bethesda's fault as far as I am aware.

They're always working on everything.

Sometimes, the same 'laggy moments' occur on Xbox 360, too. They last a couple of minutes disappearing soon after. However, reloading seemed to fix the lagging.

What blasphemy is this? How dare you call out sir Todd Howard by name asking for him to answer for crimes in which he did not commit. You should all be ashamed of yourselves....

Really guys. You should not be upset because of some stupid bugs which does not even make the whole game unplayable. Simply wait for the patch, kids. Do something else until it comes out, go for a walk, meet some friends or something. This patch will come out on Monday. I guess you know it is going to be Monday in two days.

It's pathetic how they handled PR in this whole situation.People had to search for ansers themself and most never received any ansers via email.Only a post in this forum from Gstaff is not enough. :verymad:

Oh c'mon guy... Please do not bevlhave if there was not anything worse than a game which does not work properly at the beginning. This update is going to be released tomorrow. If it really bothers you you can try find a solution for the problem yourself. Programming is not such an easy thing, you know? And by the way, if there are any bugs in the EUROPEAN version it is not totally the fault of the developers... Do not even think they are guilty a little... I know about programming a little you see and there are many things which can go wrong even in the process of translating.

Amateurs can make Patches that actually fix bugs, glitches and Bethesda cant with paid employees? And this is not about a patch or a broken DLC anymore. The way they handle PR and didn't even bother to apologize is unacceptable. It's really pissing me off and others too.If nobody speaks up,this politic will continue.I want companies that actually improve.Bethesda learned nothing from previous mistakes. From the buggy "The PIt" DLC to new vegas and the broken ps3 version of skyrim. And now we have Dawnguard which was never tested. You decide if you let comanies treat you like that or not.You have the power not them. They only live becouse we costumers allow it with our money that we spend on their products.Think about all the kids they dispointed and they didn't even apologize.I think they can do much better job if they want. Its up to them and up to us.

Cheers

Oh man... The gamers wanted the expansion pack so early. I can imagine Bethesda was pissed off because of their impatience. And Pitt was an expansion for Fallout 3 by the way. What there was on PS3 is not relevant for me because first I do not have one and second i do not buy a game for more than one platform.

Yeah that is true. I do not understand how someone can be pissed of because of something like that. Believe me, there are a lot of things which are worse than a game which does not work properly from the beginning on. If you so fed up with that bugs and if you think it is so easy to make a patch - come on, make one! And if you do not want to you have to wait. Guess that is one of the things you can simply call bad luck. If bethesda do not want to beta test their games, it is their decision. Your problem if you do not inform about possible bugs

I actually work for Square (the old Eidos), and, yes, its very easy to solve this, if the only error is a mis-match, then MS its failing a lot atm.

Are you serious? What if you buy a brand new car and on the highway whilst driving a 100 the breaks stop to work? Would you call that bad luck too? (I know this is kind of exaggerated)
I paid about 20€ for the dlc and I expect it to work and if it does not I want to have some sort of compensation or at least a honest apology! Do you know how long some people have to work for 20€?
