I think that includes taxes for Europe but not for the US. But even with that taken into account, yes, the consoles are more expensive in Europe/UK.

Sadly, youtube seems to be having troubles on my end. It's in that video link that Dovahkiin posted. A person commented on a person's comment, I mistakenly clicked on show when I should have left it alone, and saw the comment that had too many negative views. Think what throws me off is the comment about hype because it's the job of developer's to hype their product, letting the consumers carry that hype to greater levels. Unless i'm a total idiot and completely mistaken, which is quite possible since my ability to misread what people say is astounding to some.

still, its the exact reason why i boycotted the ps3, i can't rightly say i will boycott xbone since i never had any intention to buy into the new gen consoles.

How can it include taxes if every European country has different VAT rates? I mean, all prices will be relatively similar, but there's a significant difference between Luxembourg 15% and Swedish 25% VAT.

M$ is trying to corner the North American market. That has been their goal all along. If you would see their sales numbers outside of North America, it is real easy to see why.

Just the way things are when it comes to shipping electronics (or anything really) to anywhere in the EU right now. My company has sent free samples for lab testing to places in Europe and it is costing us an arm and a leg in taxes, customs and duties for something that has no commercial value.
