1.5GB Hi Res Texture Pack just kicked off.

The second BSA appears to include Dawnguard textures now, I assume that's new? :smile:

Edit: Hearthfire too.

Sorry, but these 1.5 GB what are they? Someone can kindly explain?
Read the thread, dude. Half the thread is talking about it.

Glad we figured it all out, though! Just fired up Steam and saw the download, and Bethblog had no info either.

Ah, so that's where they put them. The third pack also has several Dawnguard textures, but nothing important. Great!

The second BSA also has a crapton of Apocrypha and Solstheim terrain textures.

If you don't have the hi res pack on your account, then it should not download the new packs. I removed my hi res pack (had to send an email to Steam) so hopefully it won't try to download this one. Have to wait until I get home.

Ah good. I just rushed to put steam in offline mode because I don't want the texture pack to mess with the textures I'm already running. But if that's the case, I'll be fine.

It does, but like the previous texture packs you may not have to use the ESP. Instead add the BSA to the Skyrim.ini file like this:

[Archive]
sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, HighResTexturePack03.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa
sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - Voicesixtra.bsa

Backup the ESP file outside the DATA folder. This will ensure that any mods will be loaded after the texture pack.

I think one of the official patches fixed this so this step is not necessary anymore.

All packs appear to have been updated, and I think the purple log issue has been fixed.
I don't think so:

- choppingblock01bloody.dds is missing,
- woodfires01_g.dds is also missing

Actually, they are nowhere in the new pack, not even in the "dlc2/clutter" folder. They fixed the actors though: dragon_swamp, dragonpriest, goat and "parthurnax" (sic). Are also missing the armor and weapons textures that were not included in the first packs.

I'd do it again but I can not because I work and the PC is not mine, summarizing everything is a DLC for HD Texture Dragonborn?

They're in pack #2 that was updated.

Ah, Steam. 3.2 GB of 1.5 GB downloaded and going. Guess it doesn't like it when you remove the high res texture packs.
