I am sure Obsidian would never do it. I don't see beth doing it, just to much work. If they did do it it would have to be done really well and no cure. I don't like the idea of becoming a mutant while playing the game but starting the game as one I won't have much of a problem with as long as their is no "find the cure" quest.

Becoming ghoul or super mutant is not something that can just be cured.

they could make it into a DLC where you meet a super mutant and he tells you his story but instead of just him telling you you play through it and it can have its own separate map like point lookout and based on your decisions that part of the world changes

Only if it was some type of simulation. Other then that there would be big problems. Playing as the super mutant insted of your character would be interesting but then people would want to keep playing after the DLC as the mutant. The Characters would still have to be programmed to react with the super mutant. It would not work at least not well.

yea that's what i meant make it like the operation anchorage simulation but when the simulation is over it would be like point lookout but you can go around seeing how your choices influenced that part of the world. i don't know i think it would be pretty interesting. and i wouldn't want to play the entire game as a mutant but something like this would give some perspective of how its like being a mutant in the fallout world

Er...how would your decisions in a simulation influence the world outside that simulation at all?

cause it wouldn't be a simulation. it would be a story about another character that you play out then when the story is done you can wander around a map (like point lookout) and you can see how the different choices you made as the other character affected the places in the map. im just saying this would be a way to play as a mutant without actually turning into a mutant yourself and dealing with the problems posted earlier about how being able to choose between human ghoul or mutant would present

i dont see it as 6 times the dialogue, its really only governed by intelligence, which the super mutant lacks, they could really have the same dialogue as any character with low intelligence, not to mention that they are unisix...

So you are saying that whenever someone would encounter a ghoul or a super mutant, the only thing effecting their reaction would be the intelligence of said character?

You are wrong, and you know it.

Thats what happens in half of this forum. No matter how obvious they are wrong, they'll keep trying to shovel their [censored] and to you and call it chocolate pancakes.

You could be a human Ghoul who speaks, and to prevent turning into a Feral, avoid excessive radiation exposure. Easy enough, since they already have the Ghoul Models. This could be cosmetic but for the tolerance to Radiation.

Excellent idea that was sadly never implemented in Fallout 3...

I think I'd rather be able to play as an android over a ghoul.

one thing bad about that is that you got to make all new voice acting for everyone to react to your appearance

Shyaa! Of course!

An android like Harkness wouldn't even need a bunch of different dialogue from NPCs since they wouldn't be able to tell unless you wanted...

You read it here first: This is gonna be the surprise twist at the end of NV... you survived the shots to the head, cause you ain't human.

Yeah, a supermutant simulation would be kick-ass.

Sorry, caps were off.

And Doc Mitchell didn't tell you that when you woke up? Maybe he didn't fix you, he had a mechanic friend he asked for a favor.

Put yourself in Doc Mitchells shoes... If I found a super high-tech android that I just happened to be capable of re-building, would I fix it, tell it, and show it the door? Or would I fix it, program it to do my bidding, not tell it, and then show it the door?

What if you can transform into a Behemoth? How are those things created?

Pretty sure this was explained earlier in here. Behemoths are a special East Coast Super Mutant strain trait, they get bigger with age.

Either way, becoming a behemoth is a terrible Idea.

I wouldn't mind it so long as the only way you could get it was from being over radiated for a long period of time. Or we could do something like you said. Like someone injects you while you're asleep and you have to find a way to cure yourself. Which could lead to a choice of mass producing the cure for others, or keep it to yourself.
