I still play WWF No Mercy on my N64. Glitchy and slow? Sure, but it's fun.

I love OoT and Shadow of the Empire. At first Shadow disappointed me because you weren't a Jedi. Then I realized how much fun the platforming and flying was. GREAT game overall. Coincidentally, I DESPISED Majora's Mask. I was never able to get into it.

Aww man.. Gotta go dig out Ocarina of Time and my N64 from the closet again. Thanks.

Yea, Glover. I could never get into it. Perfect Dark, now that is a great game. I've been meaning to play Conkers Bad Fur Day though.

A year or so ago. A friend and I tried playing some of my old games. I got a headache from playing them. I think I have my old games.

I went back to my n64 not too long ago, and discovered how much my fondness for this machine was simply nostalgia. When played now, the games show as being as one-dimensional as they truly were. The graphics, when viewed on a small 32" lcd tv, are horrible and really do detract from the experience.
This.

I played Super Mario 64 for a good 20 minutes of nostalgic fun, then I was utterly bored.

For my money, the SNES is where it was at; but I still love the N64. I went back and played some old N64 games a couple months ago, and found that some held up quite well and others not so much.

Mario 64 and Banjo Tooie I felt held up really well(no surprise, imo, with Mario 64; they've basically stuck with the same formula in the newer games).

However...*dons flame-suit*...I've always felt that Ocarina doesn't hold up very well. It's just so freaking bland and lifeless outside of dungeons compared to later games in the series. Especially when compared to Majora's Mask, where all the character are given such vivid personalities and you have such unique gameplay aspects, OoT doesn't quite shine as much as it used to. I do appreciate it for it's dungeon design and the fact that it established some key elements of control for the move to 3D, though.

I have to agree with you on that. I play my SNES even more than my N64. The two games I play the most on it are Super Metroid and LoZ: A Link to the Past.

I think this list shows a lot. Considering how small the video game industry was the classics hold up pretty well. Super Mario Brothers still king. And all things considered the 64 didn’t to bad at all. Especially with 60 dollar games and their need to put 64 in every game title.

Never played Majora's Mask so I decide to give it a try. Instead of buying it I just grabbed a rom. And even though its rather old its not a bad game. I don’t like using the keyboard but I got the bugs worked out. Now I just have to teach that skull kid a lesson.

Not enough pixels for your mine, eh? :P
I know how you feel though, I was the same with Banjo-Kazooie when I went back to playing it.

You've Star Wars Pod Racer? That's awesome. Just redownloaded that for the PC. Best racing game ever. (It's not illegal if you already own the game. =P )

That is the holy grail of nostalgic videogame finds.
QFT

When I thought I got rid of my Super Nintendo, I was going through my garage looking for ducktape a few years back at my old house, and I found my Super Nintendo! Played it for a few weeks until it actually dies on me :( At least I got to play it again once more.

if anyone is wondering, I had Killer Instinct, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and 1 more I cannot remember.

I actually just recently bought a N64 about a year ago. Since then Ive been hunting my favorite games from when I was little. I found several that I still had floating around the house but its hard to find them and expensive too. I found Donkey Kong 64 for 30$ and Conkers Bad Fur Day for 40$. Im still on the hunt for Pokemon Stadium 2, Mischief Makers, Banjo Kazooie , and plenty of others.

And Glover that game gave me nightmares and I could never remember why. It was horrifyingly disturbing or creepy as I recall.

That Frankenstein level *shudder*

I don't really remember much of the game, just that level, the carnival level, and one of the early levels where I kept trying to jump up on a group of pillars and failed repeatedly.

Glover.... horrifying, seductive, askew, utterly genius, and uncomfortable....

Such a unique concept... That's what we don't have coming out of mainstream gaming, concept games. Not since katamari at least.
