There are weapon racks that work the same way not sure about armor ones.

You can only add books to book cases,weapons to weapon racks etc and yes they do show up on the shelf you can even grab them off it if you want like a normal one.

Now all I need is a levitating Wizard's tower with book shelves, weapon racks, mannequins, and all the crafting facilities, plus a lusty, busty assistant.
