My animated .gif isn't animating. : Othor Games

So... I uploaded this fancy new .gif as my avatar and... it's not animating. Somebody help!

It's probably too large. It has to be smaller than 100x100 or something.

It wouldn't have uploaded at all if it was too big.

Are you sure it has animations?
Have you actually saved it as a .gif, maybe you made it .jpg by accident or something.

I checked. IE and Firefox display the file fine, it just doesn't animate on these forums. I know it's possible -- see Evilfish/squirrel.

you need to crop it or resize it.

Are you importing from a URL or is it a saved file on your computer - I'd recommend saving the image and then uploading since I know it works that way

I'll try uploading Freddo's to check if .gif uploading is working.

That is an odd one, I used your - it fails - I switch back to mine and it works fine, but your's should work since I can see it on the browser

From the section of the forum rules re Avatars (you know pinned at the top?)

Animated avatars will need to be resized to 90 x 120px before downloading onto the forum otherwise they will not work.

I thought the 90x120 meant that no other dimensions would work. But it was working in the upload tab, so it should be fine. Hurry up, server!
