Another "bad" robot. : Fallout: New Vegas

I mean in Fallout 3 we had President Eden. I thought that was a pretty cool twist to the story. But, Mr.house is a robot to right? I really don't want another evil robot at the antagonist. This is the only thing that I am not to happy about with this game.

He's a germophobe who's talking with people through his computer just so he can stay isolated from "germs". (Speculation, but it's also speculation that he's a robot.)

Why do you say Mr House is the antagonist? I don't think there really is a true antagonist in this game, unlike Fallout 3 where you were shunned if you wanted to join the enclave.

Yeah. You apparently even have the choice to join House. He wouldn't exactly be the antagonist then.

Each of the main factions can either be protagonist, antagonist or neutral depending on who you ally with. There, now back to House not being a computer (which he isn't).

While I generally agree with this, and hope so, maybe he is part artificial... Maybe he was "crafted" "upgraded" or had "computer assitance" in calculating the gamble in order to win Vault 21. Maybe he is part Cyborg, Android, Human thingy... Just a thought... And please notice I said Maybe, just a random ADHD fueled thought...

I can't imagine OE would introduce yet another robot (computer AI) leader. He's probably a real human being (for sure with some twisted background story).

I predict that in response to all this backlash about the speculation that House is a robot/android/computer/toaster, Obsidian will quickly change it so that House is revealed to be a talking, bipedal Molerat in a man-costume. :nod:

The only "evidence" we have to the contrary is a few frames in a video showing him on a computer screen. Why does that mean he's a computer? Even if it hadn't been for the AI character in Fallout 3 I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. By that logic anyone that does a video blog on YouTube must also be a computer.

The thing is, (like I said in another thread), Morpheus in Fallout 1 had video footage of himself playing on the walls of the Cathedral. It didn't mean he was a computer, it was just that the whole thing was a little Orwellian.
