[WIP] Another UI for Skyrim

Can't help you test right now, but I'll be following this with interest. A more Morrowind-like (or generally fantasy-themed) UI would be great.

:: Have several 3D images (very technically challenging and extremely resource dependant)
:: Render icons for every item in the game (Extremely time consuming and would not easily support new added weapons)

Would there be some way to script the game to create a 2D image of each item? That wouldn't be nearly as intense as a full 3D model, and it should allow modded items also.

:: Have generic icons for each weapon type (Not really any better because you'd have no easy way of telling what item was what without having to hover over each one)

If the other ways are not feasible, I would have NO problem whatsoever with this method. It's quite similar to the way Morrowind worked. Even though there were a variety of icons in each category, you still needed to mouse-over them in order to see what they were specifically. And it would beat the tar out of Skyrim's list-mode! I HATE it! :-P

Another tester, though I'm sure you have plenty. Also, maybe ActionScript if I can figure it out. No prior experience with that specific language.

Really looking forward to grid view.

Now this sounds like what I am interested in, as other used SKYUI but would like something with a more "inline with the Game" theme.

Anyways Subscribed to thread, will keep my eyes open for it when it goes live.
