no Bethesda need to hire a ps3 team to port it over correctly .... F3 and FNV bugged to hell also ported by bethesda .. oblivion works very well but it was ported by a 3rd party

Agreed. Why didn't Bethesda delay the PS3 version and let another developer port it? That would have probably avoided all these problems Skyrim has. However, as time passes, XBOX360 and PC users are experiencing major issues as well. So, is Skyrim just an unfinished product that was released too early? Hmm....

^^This, If 4J studios (who ported Oblivion to PS3) had ported Skyrim we would all be happily playing the game now instead of complaining about performance issues here.

Does oblivion run well on ps3? I might get goty edition used, because I no longer have a 360? Not flaming general honest question.

I suggest you don't get Oblivion GOTY edition because it has a bug where you can't fix vampirisim. I know because I bought and can't cure it. Then I bought the normal Oblivion (Greatest Hits) and that one works fine. If you have to buy one, get the Greatest Hits edition.

P.S: Bethesda developed the GOTY edition of Oblivion which explains why that bug wasn't fixed.

yer iv just read some of the problems that pc and 360 are having this "release now fix later" deal is not working at all its making devs lazy why should i have to turn game features off to make it run better ... i shouldn't at all no one should . i really like bethesda they make some truly EPIC games but all apart from oblivion have suffered massive problems . but i guess if other platforms are now complaining of the same problems it will have to be fixed .

i really hate to say it but some one needs to take real action against studios that release broken games other wise no one will listen and it will keep happening over and over until there is no one left to buy the broken games .

iv been a gamer for over 20 years and its very very rare that i will stop playing a game but this ( the way it stands at the moment ) is going to be one of those i put down and refuse to pick back up.

In the Greatest Hits edition you get the Knights of the Nine DLC but you don't get the Shivering Isles DLC. However, if buy the Greatest Hits editon, you won't have to worry about the vampire bug. If you do plan on buying the GOTY edition, just remember to check your Active Effects page because if you contract vampirism, you can't fix it.

Agreed. It's such a shame that companies of today release their games, then they fix them when and if they feel like it. If Skyrim wasn't ready they should have tested it a little longer. I would have been able to wait as long as it meant I would be playing a "finished" game.

I know I was ranting and making useless threads out of desperation. Now I'm just sad lol, I feel like I want to embrace the game and keep playing But I can't because the textures fail to load, lag, and freezing. And water looks like stones far away lol. An quest breaking

I feel the same way. I want to like Skyrim but whenever I start to like it, it gives me another flaw so I can hate it. If the testers are out there, what happened?

i can not agree more . id rather Bethesda come out and "say we are very sorry to have to delay the release of skyrim on ps3 or xbox or pc due to some problems that are game breaking we hope to release the game a month from now to get all the problems fixed"

who honestly would get annoyed at a delay to fix the game .... no one. but what BS im talking this isn't how business works its all about money shame that they seem to have forgotten who gives them there money .

Anyway, you can try the tips Bethesda gave on this forum to slow down the inevitable problems you will face anyway, but that's just ridiculous. Turning off features that are supposed to help you (auto-saves) and resting for 30 days (most moronic design choice) isn't really worth it. At the end of the day, you will still get the problems that people are facing across all platforms because this game is not finished. Take a break from it and cross your fingers that Bethesda will fix it.

but seriously i have not had a single problem with the game i got it the other day but im not willing to accept that my game may work fine but others cant even play it its not good enough at all . if the ps3 version worked and it was the 360 that was broken id still complain because in the end we are all gamers and if we do not stick together then this will become the standard way . games half finished on release and MAYBE patched/fixed/finished months after its just a complete joke . im pretty sure mario world didnt need a patch .... and yer obviously a game like mario world on the snes wouldn't need to be fixed because its not as big or complicated as this but the point is still valid. if there was no way to patch a game then there would be no margin for error yer games would take a little longer to come out but id be very happy with a game i could finish.

You can fix it on the GOTY edition! Have it myself and have succesfully cured vampirism. When the old lady refuses to take your bloodgrass, switch the system language on the ps3 (under the system settings bit) to german (lol) then load up your oblivion save. The german old lady is more than happy to accept your ''blutgrasse'' lol. When you give her the bloodgrass, save and exit back to the system info screen and change language back to english or whatever.

Good to here you are not having problems. Hopefully, you won't have any and you will be able to enjoy Skyrim. And to this whole, "Skyrim is a massive game so we should accept it", deal that's going around, that's the dumbest comment I have ever heard.

By the way, I am enjoying my map. *Starts ripping it to shreds*

Hahaha! You see what we have to go through in Bethesda games. So I guess you can buy the GOTY edition, if you're willing to go through the process Reflexmatrix explained. Another bach of great testers Bethesda used, right?
