Any Interesting LOOKING Armor Combinations?

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 7:27 pm

So far, I've found that

Dukaan's mask goes well with the Ancient Falmer Armor
Zahkriisos' mask looks good with Carved Nordic Armor

Anyone else find anything that looks good together?

Zahkriisos' mask looks good with Carved Nordic Armor

I've been rocking this combination until I have collected enough bonemeal to make me a set of improved bonemold armour.

I like to mix and match but it's a matter of personal taste. For my altmer wizard I like the cultist robes, diadem of the savant and either guilded wristguards or scaled bracers

Mix and match*. On topic, chitin armor with redguard hood (Nazir's) looks cool.

Red Vampire armor from DG, Ancient Shrouded Boots and Gloves and Chitin Helmet (Light Armor)... gives my Character the look of a Mad Scientist.

I thought about this as well...

Has anyone tried the Skaal armor w/ the Stormcloak captain's hood/helm?

I'm digging my character with Miraak's Robes, Gauntlets, and boots with the Jagged Crown. You can also put on Miraak's Mask and the Jagged Crown with it looks pretty awesome.

The stormcloack helmet also fits pretty well with the carved nordic.. The adept hood and Zakhriisios also fits well with this armor. I was thinking that maybe the closed helmet the Dawnguard use would fit nicely as well..

Personally, I'm not one to mix armor. Looks tacky and stupid to me. Hoods and some dragon masks are an exception, but I don't wear hoods, masks, or helmets anyway, so  Except in tough battles like dragons, or large battles, like civil war fights.

The carved nordic boots do look a little like ulfrics, dont they? The whole armor seems like it'd be something Ulfric would wear in battle. Thats one of the reasons I like it so much.

I agree mostly with what you are saying, most armors just don't mix well; either the color and/or design theme is to different between pieces, or there is clipping when combining armors. An exeption is the low level fur/studded/iron/steel armors that mostly match well together.

I'm not a huge fan when it comes to helmets either, as you do I mostly use them in large battles or against tough enemies. But I do like to have something to cover my characters head when in a snowstorm or during cold winter nights for rp reasons. An increasing favourite in this regard is the Stormcloack helmet with the carved nordic. The armor is basically built up from metals and a lot of bearpelts (looks warm and fitting for Skyrim's harsh climate), the helmet texture wise is quite similar to the armors pelt textures (slightly lighter brown in color) but overall strikes me as very compatible with the carved nordic armor, both in looks and style. It doesn't hurt either that the helmet signalise a Stormcloack alignment (wich is true for my nord), and looks generally warm, practical and BA.

Agreed on Nord carved. I think I'll give the bear head a try. Side note: Nord carved is officially my favorite armor. It's so fitting for stormcloak characters. I wish the stormcloak commanders wore this instead, or at least Ulfric. Even though light armor for nords is more appropriate, this armor still seems more fitting to me.

Totally agree! My favourite as well. In a way though I think its okay the officers and Ulfric doesn't wear it, it makes the dragonborn look more badass and unique.

I like Stalhrim boots and cuirass, ancient falmer gauntlets, and the worn shrouded cowl. There's some clipping with the gauntlets, but I try to pass that off as the gauntlets chipping from old age.

i have a couple
for warriors i have: helm of yngol, daedric carved nordic armor, daedric gauntlets, and daedric boots
or you could do the same thing but instead of carved nordic armor you use dragonplate armor
for mages: Konahrik mask, miraak's robe, nightingale boots and nightingale gauntlets,
for thieves: guild master gauntlets, guild master boots, Blackguard armor and either the thieves guild hood, the blackguard armor hood, the guild master hood, any mage hood or one of the hoods from the dark brotherhood
and something special for the female characters: nightingale hood, daedric gauntlets, daedric boots and the ebony mail

i really hopes this helps my redguard character wears the warrior armor i mentioned and he looks badass
and my female khajiit character wears the last one i mentioned and she looks both deadly and sixy :3
