Anybody going to bother with dawn guard

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 2:10 am

hi guys just read the tweet from bethesda and i'm very disappointed in hearing we are not geting the 1.7 patch until a couple of weeks, its just a joke that bethesda is treating fans like myself literally like crap ,

No word on the Dawn Guard dlc , everyone knows its coming with the 1.7 patch , thats why they are holding it back , if bethesda is trying to sell more copys of Dawn Guard dlc and future games , there doing it the wrong way and they call themselves a business and care about the fans , what a joke they are just interested in making there wallets larger and keeping Microsoft happy

Oh no, you have to wait for something. I got a box of tissue just in case.

BethesdaGS IS a business, so yes, their main goal is to get money. Surprise surprise.

A man once said in another thread (I wish I could quote it but it was locked):

"Rather than argue over whether it's coming or not, I'd rather just say two things. One, i think timed exclusives are dumb. What is made for one, should be made for all platforms that you released the game on; at the same time. Two I'm looking forward to playing Dawnguard but I'm not going to sit here and and scream about it. It won't change anything. "

People who play video games should consider the responsibility of having to take out a 50 million dollar loan. You ever think of going 50 million dollars in debt? Thats what Bethesda does when they make a video game like Skyrim. They have to be responsible and pay the debt back. So if Microsoft or Sony offers to give them 5 million dollars for 1 month of exclusivity, its a responsible business choice.

Of course you, the impatient consumer doesn't care, you just want to consume your content as soon as possible. But if you are going to participate in the video game hobby, then it is beneficial for you to understand how and why the video game industry works the way it does. Bethesda isn't trying to hurt your feelings, they are trying to be a responsible business.

u must be a microsoft fan , how is bill gates
So i cant point out facts and express opinions oposing yours without being a "Microsoft fan"?

The only thing "Microsoft" I use is Windows, so if that makes me a fan, then sue me. But chances are extremely high, you use windows as well.

The only thing Im guilty of is common sense. Not all companies out to make money are evil and trying to crush their users, as it is the useres thet get them money in the first place.

You are complaining about something Bethesda has no obligation to even release to PC or PS3, nor have you even payed for it. You have no ground to complain about anything in this situation.

As an Xbox 360 player I remember getting the 1.6 patch, Dawnguard never came with it, did not even come that soon after it. You get the patch, later you get Dawnguard. How much later is dependent on a lot of things, if it was just a 30 day exclusive period they would have already announced when the PC players could expect Dawnguard. The PS3 players are at the mercy of Sony, do not count on seeing anything fast. It will arrive eventually.

Your using a PC to post aren't you? No I dont have an XBox. I am a PC only gamer.

You payed for Skyrim, period, which is still being patched. The speed of patching is questionable. You have invested nothing in Dawnguard, so you deserve nothing. That is how this game is played. You wait just like me. If you still want the DLC when its released, that is your prerogative.

there comes a point in which you can realize arguing with some people is pointless, the reason they can talk so loudly is because they've never learned how to listen.

On topic in a sense...

I do have to say, I think it's quite foolish to wait this long, from a martketing perspective.
Hype is what made Skyrim sell so well, and the way they're handling Dawnguard, they're letting the hype die down. Ironically at the same time, I constantly get Youtube ads for Dawnguard, advertising it nonstop. That's great and all, but I can't get it. And when it's out this long without ANY word on the release, then....yeah, I just stop caring.

On the other hand I guess this is, in some ways, nicer than constantly being told "soon!" so that people are waiting anxiously on the edge of their seat. Ironically I'd say this way is more considerate, cause it seems they're being more honest with this release than they've been with previous releases, but now I guess I sorta see why some of the "soon!" statements might've been intentional, just to keep the hype aflame.

Overall though I think I prefer it this way, since it's pure honesty. It's also quite conceivable that the Dawnguard release will take long, as they found more than enough bugs to cause issues.

Look at the brightside, when Dawnguard comes out it will have very few bugs. I only encountered one on my playthrough.

Yeah, I doubt it will get any big fixes before it comes to PC and PS3.

That's the only thing I'm waiting for and got money saved for along with Enderal ( Look it up NOW ).

You tell me there will be Borderlands 2 ?
I don't care , I hate it.

You tell me there will be Halo ( what's his number ) ?

Me too , the only thing that bothers me is the size of the map.
I've seen the map of Nehrim , it's insanely HUGE.
I think it's the size of Middle Earth , Lol.
If Enderal turns out to be around Skyrim's size it will be disappointing.
