Anyone already saw this?

Thanks for the info, I'll have to give this a shot tonight after I... completely rebuild my OS... >.>

Gonna be a busy night, hopefully by the time I have the computer running smoothly the servers will calm down and I can let it run over night.

Digital distribution services generally do not publish those kinds of statistics as far as I'm aware, so the only thing you'd actually see is the physical pre-orders - a number I suspect is dwarfed by digital pre-orders.

Steam settings -> Downloads & Cloud. You can change the server you download from(one of the many in the states, canada, france, etc, etc).
If you own Steam and have the Cd key validated....

Run "steam://install/72869" in a web browser (Chrome is a bit iffy) And it begins the Preload process, but i get an error because the files are not available yet. I'm in Europe, so even if the Pre-load begins Stateside it usually takes a little extra time for the files to be transferred to Europe for our pre-loads to begin. It really depends on who at Valve is uploading the stuff, and what method they choose, some wait for all the files to be in place world wide before initializing the Pre-load.

MW3 -- with presumably more sales than Skyrim -- has just been released and the Steam servers do not seem overly busy, so imo that bodes well for Steam coping when the preload becomes active. Non-scientific ofc.

Just hope the preload is fast here in little old NZ!

Yeh, i'm aware

But generally, i get terrible download rates from the US for whatever reason. So it usually ends up quicker in the end if i just wait for the download in my own region.

When you guys expect the Pre-Load to go up? Maybe they are waiting a certain time in PST or something like that...

I cannot sleep while my Pre-Load doesn't start. I need to start the Download after all. :hubbahubba:

I am waiting too. I wonder why some of the other websites can preload the game, and those who bought it directly from steam can not. But i guess we will in a hour or two.

I usually check with the Steam Staff on the forums, but they're down because of an attack. The last game i waited for a pre-load for, the Valve guy in charge of the files basically said he was waiting for the Files to distribute themselves worldwide to all the different servers before beginning, as that reduces download bottlenecking. That might be the case here, the files are distributing themselves globally and we're waiting on someone sitting at a computer to click a button.

I'd like to start my pre-load before bed too, though it's getting late.
