Anyone else kind of disappointed?

Two games later, and I'm back to Thu'uming Thalmor.

True that.

I did a couple of Firefight games last night.

Thirty minutes later I was assassinating the Emperor's Cousin at her own wedding. :P lol

Think of this like the knights of the nine of skyrim :) But bigger.
I think we can expect at least one massive expansion, Hoping for a whole new landmass with alot of villages and cities.

I don't have the DLC yet (PS3), but I for one am extremely disappointed in Dawnguard, because on nearly every thread when these subforums first started, someone would post a bug or glitch and multiple Beta testers would say "Yeah, we reported that."

Then why didn't it get fixed?

That's the disappointing thing, that even after having a Beta for Dawnguard, and having customers report the bugs, Bethesda still didn't fix it. Doesn't really surprise me though. From reading the patch 1.6 threads, it doesn't look like they listened to those Beta testers either, and released it knowing it still had a bunch of problems.

What dissapoints me the most is that being a vampire is completely inferior to being a dawnguard.

Once again Bethesda provides a lack-luster experience that feels rushed and lacking in content. By signing the contract with Microsoft, they agreed to work on a deadline they could not control. 2K Games, as a publisher, on the whole, are lenient on deadlines and may even not make one for developers, such as the case in Borderlands. Also, they usually won't rush a developer to get a game out quickly for more money. Quality is what matters and I agree with OP; it was good but left me feeling disappointed. I blame them signing a deal with the devil, i.e Microsoft and Xbox Live. It's not the developers fault, they needed more time. I feel.

Then again, the whole deal with the Imperial/Stormcloaks was just pure, utter laziness.

O.o

I think that the Vampires are completely superior to the Dawnguard.

But do mean on a Factional basis? Or individual character?

Long as i dnt get another horse armor repeat (unless its like 10 times bigger with unique horse armor, plus horse armor for all ingame armor types) I'm happy.

P.S. Dragonbone horse armor would be sixy! :hubbahubba:

I dnt like vamp lord, but thats because it doesnt match my playing style. Wouldnt say its "inferior". It sounds OP if you're a mage.

Not like that,it's inferior because bethesda locked content away from vampires like hiring monsters, curing that vampire chick, and the dwarven crossbow. I like the vampires but they get much less stuff than dawngaurd.

Yes overall pretty disappointed. If the vampire attacks were fixed after the questline finished I'd be satisfied. But I feel the whole thing was a bit rushed and or overpriced.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have it than not have it. But there was so little info released about this, it created a lot of assumptions and hype. I see now that them releasing very little info was a smart thing, otherwise less people would have purchased it.

I found Dawnguard to be pretty awesome actually. Aside from it's length and variety of quests. Should have split them up, Beths!

I want the next expansion to deal with another plane of Oblivion. Maybe one where you can shack up in ala Camoran in Oblivion. With a warp spell/secluded gate.

Also, horse armor sounds good. :)

Wouldnt make sense to have crossbows as vamp, curing serana, or hiring trolls as vampire. Unless vamps had a gargoyle pin. Plus, u can summon gargoyles. Whats the prob?

I actually think that being able to (with the right item) Summon two Gargoyles repeatedly beats out having to go back to home base to resupply on trolls every time one dies.

The Devil Dogs (they're Marines in disguise... :D) are decent combatants, and pretty sturdy in the damage department.

And with the power of the Vampire Lord form itself (provided that Serana isn't with you...) says that any Followers are for superfluous reasons IMO.

Nah, personally I'll take being a VL over Dawnguard any day (night?).

A crossbow dosen't work only on vampires it's like hitting someone with a silver sword and nothing will happen because they aren't a werewolf, and curing serana will make sense because you do kill her father, but you have a point on the gargoyles.

I mean 4 roleplaying reasons it wouldnt make sense 4 crossbows as vamp. Its supposed to be a vamp hunting weapon. As 4 serana, I guess u could get the option if u cure your vampirism first.

why's that?

I thought I had explained the "why" pretty well in that post as well as my previous ones.

Where was I obscure on my reasoning?

Lol, I thought they were weak, compared to werewolf summons, but maybe its different on adept. I believe he's referring to the rings. Or was it an amulet? I forget.

Amulet of the Gargoyle. When you use your Summon gargoyle power, two Gargoyles are summoned instead.

They are working just fine for me, they aren't the longest lasting ally, but since I can summon another two almost immediately, it's not really a problem. ;)

They're actually damage sponges i killed like 5 guards only with melee.

by that logic you can't become a VL on dawnguard side.

Sir,I take my comment and toss it to sea.(exepet for serana and the crossbow part)

but there is one problem and It's that dawnguard can be a VL too.

I can't stand this argument, that crossbows don't make sense on a vampire. Who said crossbows are only for hunting vampires? By this logic you shouldn't be able to use daedric weapons because they use them to hunt you.

I prefer werewolves. They throw people, and take all the aggro from me while hunt down the long range enemies. They've got a lot of health too, which surprised me since werewolves usually are like glass tanks before the update.

Not sure bout the daedric part, but I've never seen a vampire movie where the vamp was using a crossbow, the guy hunting him was. Not to say that it couldnt be different on Skyrim, but I understand why they dont have them. If thats the reason of course. Its an iconic vampire slaying weapon.

Vampires = ancient beings in general, has there old set ways.

Crossbows = new tech in most vampire movies/games.

They dont fit together.
