Anyone else wish Skyrim were an MMO
Absolutely, positively, without equivocation....NO.

...there's enough multiplayer-focused & MMO options these days, with companies jumping on the bandwagon for it...(no KOTOR3, just a MMO, grr, etc) ... leave my single-player games alone.

Actually I've been have thoughts about this too. But I also agree with everyone else that it is a singerplayer game. It would have been nice to be able to play with friends (and not have any need of those (sometimes) stupid followers)). But yeah, it's a singelplayer game so if they don't find any way to be both singelplayer and "multiplayer" I'd say it should stay the way it is.

I play Skyrim because it is my personal story. My own fantasy novel that i'm living. That means: Without the constant [censored]ing and moaning of insufferable tools that have permeated every MMO community. Without having to rely on anyone to do whatever I want to.

In short:

YES, well maybe not the whole game, but it would be nice if there was an online arena dlc or something so we could interact and fight other players when we are taking a break from single player, not convert the whole game though.

Hells no. It's hard enough finding dragons without others camping them. Or finding it hilarious to kill off all the merchants in a town.

You change too many things in the world for it to be okay if other people were out changing things as well.

Being able to jump into a friend's game as my character would be nice.

No. No. No.

There aren't enough single player games left in this world.. TES games, Uncharted, Metal Gear, Zelda, and Red Dead Redemption stick out ... but man, the glory days were before Halo and CoD took over the [censored] planet.

Skyrim have too good graphics compare to WoW for MMO. MMO games must have average/svcks graphics cas millions of ppl with different pcs play them and usualy MMO is 40ppl vs 40 ppl fights not 1 vs 1 like TES

No.

Would it make a good MMO? yeah.. would I play it? no. I prefer single player games and it's really nice to see there's still some great single player games being made when the whole world has to have multiplayer if they want to sell the game. Skyrim is proof that you don't need to make a game for all the sheep to be successful.

Somehow, I like playing private. TES worlds are so awesome that interacting with others during the game really would break the immersion (especially if the quality of discussion is "ololo pwnd"). Also, TES games are coherent. The world keeps itself up rationally. There are political parties with interests, and they affect the world. These aspects major in TES games can't work in MMOs where there are many types of players. TES is also so traditional single-player series I would never want a TES MMO.

I think a common area such as a tavern where you can exchange items and map markers. Maybe an arena where you can go up against your friends. That would be a DLC I would def buy.

I would not play it then. If TES ever goes that route, I am done, but will continue to play Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind.

It would make an amazing MMO. But, I do sorta agree with some of the comments... Though, I didn't before. However, I don't agree all MMO's graphics are rubbish. LOTRO although nothing compared to a SP game, has some really great graphics and AoC has brilliant graphics! Anyway, that's a little off-topic.

Something like this would be the only way to make me approach an MMO TES game. Mass-multiplaying restricted to taverns and some ranking match types in separate areas that you can't get out with others. Even then, I would be cynical. :P Wouldn't want the Riverwood Trader to sell people unlimited amounts of every best weapons and armor in the game.

by the nine, NO!

I'm not really wanting to play with most the people here. could you really enjoy the game with a text window constantly going. "Mages are under powered, Nerf warriors! Buff Destruction! I find Destruction Handy. You're stupid for thinking Destructions good. You need 2 lern 2 plya! You can Level up conjuration, that really helps. But I only want to use Destruction for my RP of Goku, I only use Destruction and unarmed!"
