Anyone pity Bethesda?

Discussion of illegal activity is against the rules of these boards, and several people have already made references to viewing illegal activity in this thread. I suggest you remove your posts and let this thread die. It has no place on these boards.

You're dissing out the illegal activity label too generally. Nobody here is naming website links or encouraging anything illegal here.

What I pity is that, since they developed the game, they do not get to experience Skyrim like we do. They miss out on the anticipation and excitement and are denied the joyful satisfaction of discovering a whole new world. Since they created the world they know every nuance of the game, with no surprises left to discover. That it is what I pity.

It's a good thing only the Xbox version was released early in some countries because if the PC got released someone will have torrented it already. Then that's a huge drop in sales from week 1. I just finished watching part 15 of a let's play Skyrim video. Will keep me entertained until Amazon dispatches my Skyrim for PC on 10/11/11, expecting to arrive on 11/11/11.
You do know that the torrents for the Xbox version have been out for almost two weeks now?

Pete?
Haha  poor Pete. I think they just stopped by removing the videos. I have shame on my country selling it early though. But own fault. They got sued.

Yes but not because of leaks i pity them because they work so hard to deliver a masterpiece of a game and all the wile what will they see on the forums alot of whining and complaining by people who may have just picked this series up at skyrim never played a game but they still have a right to [censored] whine moan and complain.

Does this mean everyone Complains no but after a while all they will see is i dont like this or i wish that rather than just what they should see which is thank you for your hard work and dilligence and all the while all of this happens before its even is released ... It disgusts me.

Anyone pity those poor PS3 owners who never got to see not ONE (1) official screenshot of the PS3 version, nevermind live footage?
Left in the dark to speculate whether their version will be up to par so they can decide whether to spend their money on this product?

I do however pity those jealous petty bitter people who think that they are on a crusade to help keep things hidden by intimidating others who want to share their experience until the "official" release, as if it is some kind of holy date that will change their lives forever!

I don't pity them at all.

They have one of the most amazing jobs that I can think of, they love to do it, they're praised all around the world for their games, while profiting millions and millions of dollars in the process.

I pity us, PC gamers, for having to wait, while pretty much everybody else is playing already.

The only people I pity are the ones who watch those videos and detract from the incredible experience they would have had from playing the game for the first time themselves.

Why would I pity Bethesda? Nobody forces them to get anything deleted. If they think that effort is necessary it's their own fault.

Don't think bethesda needs our pity. They know they made a great game, and so do we.

Not pitying bethesda, its free advertisemant, it augment the hype, and interest of non buyer with rumours and the like, its normal PR job, same as allowing leaks, % of piracy just previous to realease, parties, etc

Why do you think they realesed early version to reviewer ?

but i pity legit ones that don t torrent, don t seek cheats and are waiting like us.

Yeah I do feel quite sorry for them actually. They were trying very hard to keep a certain thing, which will go unspecified, secret, for the fans, as they were aware the fans were very much excited about the possiblity of its inclusion, but some bugger had to go and spoil it. Even the major gaming news organisations are reporting on it.

It's like finding that thing you really wanted for Christmas but were told you weren't going to get stashed away in your parents' wardrobe.

This only equates to free advertisemant for them~ So no, i dont pity them ^_^ if anything i feel bad for the fact that many of the secrets they wished to keep hidden have been shown... So their suprise to us has been ruined.

I saw part of the vids, and while they were amazing, I really regret not saving skyrim hyman for 11.11.11.
