ok.. so lets see what we need to actually turn this thing from what's mainly a riot control joke into something that could be a threat to anything other than five year olds...

tires and a new engine.. check.

armor up the legs more, hide the hydraulics, and maybe add two more legs on each side to compensate in case one or more of the drive legs gets damaged..

real missiles, and lose the dual miniguns for a .50cal mounted on the opposite shoulder from the missile rack.

a cheaper cup-holder, an ashtray and a cigarette lighter!

Well if they replaced the arm controllers with true waldoes. then pressure sealed the cabin. i could see this used in the refineries as is. without the toy weapons. but working grips/hands.

i bet some one said that about tanks and airplanes... they are dead now... probably crushed under a tank or bombed by a plane....go figure.
