Anything your gonna miss?

Post » Sat Jan 29, 2011 1:15 am

I'm going to miss the bleak feel of seeing the greatest nation's capital in ruin. To here all the sad stories and to see how people are just barely making it by, and whatever help I give them is great in the magnitude of their lives - in my mind anyway. But I welcome the glamorous and campy feeling of New Vegas. It too, probably, will have some sad parts and most likely more day-to-day survival involved.

Won't miss a thing. Moving on to new places and adventures in a different part of the wastes is all.

Well isometric and turnbased but since the series will never be that way again I ain't holding my breath.
So... Nothing.
If I miss the destruction of DC then I'll just pop in fallout 3's disc.

Moira Brown. I don't know why but she is the reason I didn't blow Megaton up.

One thing I can think of would be the time limited main quest in F1, really creates urgency. I'd love to see a quest that I can finish anytime, but if I took too long there might be adverse affects altering the outcome of that quest.

I like having a spark of life in a bleak and dreary wasteland. That's why I like Moira. Whole world has gone to :swear: and yet she's happy as can be.
Spoiler
Even blowing her skin off, literally, doesn't dampen her mood for more than five seconds or so.

I kind of miss the Enclave (unless they're going to be in New Vegas in some capacity). Even if you sided with them, in Fallout 3, you had to kill a whole lot of them and could never really join them. That could be different in New Vegas. After suffering two crushing defeats, they'd need help more than ever. If I played an evil character, I'd definitely help them out as a counterpart to the BoS.

Moira...

Because I somehow doubt we will have an air-head with quite so much atmosphere up top in New Vegas...

They Might out-do Moira if they add an Elvis Ghoul, but we'll see.

True that.
Man I'm going to miss him.
They need to have a new or take an old NPC to have as a recurring character.
I vote Talius and Jacob the defunct BOS soldier.

Only Ol' Painless. I loved that rifle up until i used it repair a normal hunting rifle by accident. I was not pleased at all. I may miss Gob but i'll get over that.

The Jefferson Memorial, Liam Neeson's voice, the Galaxy News Radio music, President Eden's monologues, Liberty Prime's anti-communist quotes, and killing Roy Phillips.

The Enclave as a major enemy, I suppose. I mean, they are pretty much gone. They got their ass handed to them on the oil rig in Fallout 2, then again in Fallout 3 with the destruction of Raven Rock and Adams Air Force Base (Wait, if you get your ass handed to you twice, does that mean you have two asses?)
