More likely the vegan and animal rights eco-terrorists. I predict they fund research a way to synthesize this and deliver it to force mankind off red meat.

It's a conspiracy! :ahhh:

I sprinkle ticks on my salad as a nice bacon bit alternative. It isn't half bad.

Didn't read article yet, but you can be allergic to chocolate because of the traces of insects in it.

Now reading article --->

How does moose meat taste? I dated an Eskimo/Hawaiian girl for awhile and she let me try a bunch of stuff from Alaska like whale(chewy and tough as a hell), seal(okay, kind of chewy too) and some other stuff. Never got moose though. Is it good?

Not allergic to red meat, but I just don't like the taste of it personally. Cooked it myself, tasted it at restaurants, and had others who are professionally trained cook it for me. Also don't eat eggs, though that is due to them tasting like iron/metal.

I live in New York and I've never even heard of this allergy before. I don't like red meat that much anyway.

Where do your eggs come from? :blink:

Really? I had no idea anywhere in North America was free of them. But Alaska does have mosquitoes big as B-52s. Clouds of them. :wink:

I'm half Athabaskan and don't like whale or seal very much. Moose tastes much like beef. If I use it in stews or soups or even as burger most think they are eating beef.

Nope, we have no ticks, no snakes and no fleas.

But yes, we have two sizes of mosquitoes. The ones so large they can carry you away and those so small they can fly right through screens. We also have an over abundance of no-see-ems which are a type of gnat that take chunks of skin when they bite you. And this year both mosquitoes and no-see-ems are abundant.

Ticks aren't very normal up here.

I think this thing was designed by vegans. It's all a big conspiracy.
