All my beefs from Oblivion and almost all of the design changes I had prayed for and even modded in have been done in a super polished way. The dialogue is art. The characters look and sound unique to me and I don't feel like I'm talking to "generic_breton_00001." The landscapes are sweeping and surprisingly different despite the Norway fjords-without-the-fjords landscape theme. Magic is for the first time incredibly sixy to me. Combat scaling feels good at Expert difficulty, though slight hp bloat is there --I guess I need more points in 1h damage. Leveling is now a JOY. I'm not afraid of doing smaller skills or picking primaries or worrying about how many times secondaries have leveled up so I can get my glorious x5 multipliers.
My only honest beef is the menu UI. It would have taken only a couple dozen man hours to make a good PC ui and a sortable inventory --at very least one with subcategories.
Thank you for making such a work of art that will likely svck up 500 hours of my life, with me loving every moment of it.
I've payed this much for games that were really well polished but had almost nil replayability and a game time between 25 to 50 hours.
$59.99 to me does not in any way reflect the enormous gap between this game and the other single player titles that I've payed for. I guess I'll buy a few copies for friends and hope you put as much love and money into your next title =).
