After a few days of playing, I can say with confidence that troll skulls are my collector's item in this game.

So far, I have been a very avid book collector. Especially books about races and monsters and I often fill my book shelves. Also, I have a habit to not loot Dwemer ruins... Except for armour/weapons, I take those.

I will always keep any unique weapons or armor I find, and in addition to that well, I actually keep everything that crosses my path. Haha. I have so many full chests, bookshelves, nightstands, etc in my house it's not even funny. I'll keep pots for that rare occation I need a pick-me-up mid battle, all my ingredients for that occasion I feel like burning through all of them at my apothecary table, books! I'm definitely a big book collector. I nab every book I can and add it to my collection. The only things I freely sell I would have to say would be the base armor/weapons that have no enchants or anything on them. If it's just a regular "Steel Iron Helm" or whatever, I'll sell that, knowing I can come across another (or make another) fairly easily. I generally don't keep knick knacks either. My house came furnished with enough junk. The first day I had my house, I had some junk on me I decided to add to the place to give it my touch. I arranged steins and glasses on the table, a stack of plates in the storage room, a jug, a bowl under a table near the cook pit, etc. and the first time I leave and come back, all the unique items look like they exploded all over my entire house. That was enough, no more extra novelty crap. Haha.

I'm usually a pack rat as well but this time around I will try to only take things that my character would take and be able to carry in real life.

My character is a Dark Elf and so I collect all Elven weapons, armour, books, etc. I can, practically anything elven, currently they're in a chest of their own although when I get a bigger house they're going to be in their own room as a museum.

Books. Every damned book I see I must put on display, doesn't matter what (waiting for Book Jackets Skyrim!). I also like to collect armor/weapons, ores/ingots, clutter, and shiny things such as gemstones and soul gems.
