Are you younger or older than you really look?

For me, it's more of a maturity thing. People have thought I was like sixteen because of my maturity level.
Is that a good thing?

When I was 17-19, I used to get mistaken for early to mid 20's. I still think I look older (23 with a receeding hairline and a full beard), but nobody goes "You're ONLY 23?"

For me, it's more of a maturity thing. People have thought I was like sixteen because of my maturity level. But I personally think I look my age.

People have also thought I'm 16 because of my maturity level.

I look very young. I'm twenty, and yet when my friend (who also looks very young) and I are out, people seem to mistake us as a highschool couple.

Maybe I'll enjoy looking young when I'm old, but hell, with my luck, by the time I get to that point I'll probably just look old.

I have had people be surprised at how old I am. I have gotten mistaken for being between 12-16 years old when actually I will be 20 next month.

Have people mistook you for being way younger or older than you look?

I'm 22 as of right now, but two years ago, I've been told by a girl that I looked 15, which would probably place my appearance around 17 or 18 now. Now, keep in mind I was told this at a college classroom around many others of my age group, so I don't know, but maybe she's right. I've got the "young comment" several times elsewhere too.

I look my age I guess. Never been told I look younger or older. I guess I just look my age. :P

Actually, now that I think about it, I lived with two guys when I was 19 that were both in there mid-20's and they kept forgetting I was younger so I guess I look older than what I really am? It may have been mental age, not physical age though.

When I was 25, I was described as looking five younger than I actually was. When I turned 27, that apparently went up to seven years. Guess it's just gonna' keep climbing, unless I start getting some more gray hairs.
That sounds about how it is with me. I just turned 27. If I let my facial hair grow I'll look older though, but I like keeping it smooth.

I'm often told I look younger than my age. I'm quite sure however that I look every bit of my age and folks are just trying to be kind.

I look much younger than I am, but this is due largely to a time traveling accident I had while in college.

I'd say I look my own age. Sometimes people think I'm a year older or younger, but that probably depends on the amount of facial hair I have at the time.

When I was younger people thought I was 3 or 5 years older than what I was.
Nowadays I look my age but maybe still older than what I am.
I've noticed my hair thinning out, reseeding hairline, so I'll be growing the rest so I don't look even older

- Apparently stress affects my hair, and apparently I'm stressed right now so that might just be the problem and it'll grow back in time (Hoping)

I am older than I look, even with facial hair I look about 18. If I shave it off, I look about 16. At least, that's what I think.

Definitely younger. I still get ID'd for booze every single time, even a glass of wine in a restaurant. I'm 27 but probably look about 20? Will benefit me when I'm 40. ;)

I look my age until the chin fur goes. Premature graying runs in the family.

Of course if I shave it off, then I get carded for booze which isn't all that bad;

it's just that unexpected awkward fumbling for some officious drone that sets my rage prematurely in motion. Cause and effect... Next thing I know I'm drunk and wanting to punt small officious drones about the yard, or squirrels. But the later's speed and agility points defeat my clumsy intoxicated endeavor at punting things that are real. Then rage gives to depression and I don't shave for another month.

I think I just rambled...

Couple of weeks ago my dad's employee told me I look 17-18. I'm 21. Imagine if I had shaved... and I wonder if the glasses make me look older or younger.

When I was 19 I went to the movies with some friends. It was rated R (17+). I got ID'd and only had my college (university for you weirdos) ID (and was wearing a college sweatshirt). The guy called over the manager and they apparently don't accept college IDs. So the guy thought I was 16 or younger, in college, and hanging out with a bunch of 19-20 year olds? This youngness annoys me. The ladies do seem to like it but I couldn't care less.

I'm in my thirties and am still carded for smokes even though I have gray streaks starting to show in my hair. I blame my height and weight. Barely over 5 foot and weighing 130 pounds will do that I guess.

When I was 12, I was offered a job so I obviously looked 16 or older at the time. From age 24-28, people thought I was 20-22. At 28-34, people thought I was 25 or 26.

However, now at almost 38, I haven't been given any feedback for a long time about how old I look. There's also an element of "I don't care" in it too since I now have better things to worry about. I know how long I've been alive. I don't think it really matters whether anyone thinks I'm younger or older than I am.

When someone asked 2 years ago I told her to guess. She thought I was 30. Then last week a barber was flabbergasted at me being 25, thought I was much younger. I don't really know what kind of conclusion to draw from that.
